Force vs Waratahs - Super Rugby R17 2013

Tahs steal the lineout. Hodgson gives away a ridiculous penalty. Force just aren't all there.

Foley kicks it. 28 - 13, 6 to go. Holmes on for Ulugia.

Force vs Waratahs - Super Rugby R17 2013

Great run Betham, runs past Wykes with ease and gets to 15m out. Force give away another penalty in front. Game over. Betham picked up some tired forwards and went straight past. If the support had been there it would have been a try.

Force vs Waratahs - Super Rugby R17 2013

Skelton off, Coleman on. Skelton is impressive for such a raw boned kid. Ulugia got away with that, holding the ball on the ground. Strong Force scrum, and Hodgson runs sideways. Then the Force turn it over. Messy play.

Heyward was fine there, think Delitt was penalised for getting in the way? Amazed Skelton is still out there. McKibbon doesn't miss. Kicking at goal will likely win this for the Tahs. Who would've thought.

Force vs Waratahs - Super Rugby R17 2013

Tahs have switched off a bit in this second half. They are lucky that the Force kickers have been wayward (or Heyward.....). Why is Ebersohn not kicking? Foley with a good break down the middle of the field.

Ebersohn went between Paddy Ryan and Wil Skelton there, both poorly caught out. Good vision from Ebersohn to get the mismatch.

Under the posts, son! Your kickers have been poor. Nice break Ebersohn and good support Godwin.

Jacobs is very ponderous at 13. What happened to all the other options, like Stanley, etc? Surely they are all better options than Jacobs?

    Lions Tour 2013

Yeah, agree on Bowe. Looked way more dangerous than Cuthbert. Lions starting to look like a casualty ward already.

Battle of the Blood Red: Lions v Queensland Reds 8th June 2013

Agree. The pass to no-one is maybe the forgiveable one as it may not have been his fault, but the kick for touch is a forward and coach killer. I actually think that Quade is not too far off, his maturity is increasing. Just reacting to the "Quade was shit" and "Quade didn't threaten" posts...

Didn't see him, but I assume he came on at fullback when Frisby was subbed off. I would be shocked if McKenzie didn't clear his bench to give them all a go. Regarding Cooper, I wouldn't say he didn't threaten. His passes created massive headaches for the Lions. You just got the usual bag -...

Battle of the Blood Red: Lions v Queensland Reds 8th June 2013

The dominance of the Lions lineout and scrum was the big difference I'd say. Reds lost a few of their own crucial lineout throws and struggled in the first half on their scrums before Daley was subbed.

Big final scrum from the Lions and they put it into touch. Lions win 22 - 12. Well, Lions got the hit out they wanted I guess.

Huge run from Owen! Now the ref gives the Reds the penalty for not releasing. Reds tap and go. Big tackle from Sexton on Harris. O'Donaghue knocks on in traffic.

Youngs a mile offside at that scrum. Ref has it. Cooper taps and goes.

Anae off, Denny on. Bench cleared for the Reds apart from Lance, I think.

That POC was the same as the Taps earlier call, but other way. 50/50 call, bad luck Reds. By the way, I'm sure that Jackson surely isn't everyone's favourite ref after that woeful forward pass call. The guy was 50m across field and still should have seen it went back.

Only one called I believe, although I think there;s been about 3 or 4 others. However, that was easily back. Not even close to forward.

I'm looking forward to Anae in the next few years, I think he's the besst scrummaging LHP at the Reds.
