    Dan Vickerman

Many doubted Deans decision to replace Sharpie with Vicks for this test. It was a great call. Welcome back Dan Vickerman! Sharpe still has a part to play, but doubt he will start against the likes of NZ or England if all locks are fit.

QC (Quade Cooper) cited for knee on McCaw

I reckon it was a bit of a low blow and I doubt that his team mates would condone it. Is QC (Quade Cooper) trying to provoke a response or does he just have a hard on for RM? It was Bothaesque and Quade needs to remove that type of thing from his game. It is one thing being respected as hard on the paddock...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

What a joy it was to watch the Wallabies take it to the ABs like they did in the first half. Samo and Vickerman really added some spine to the Wallaby pack, but it was not just them. Stephen Moore was once again everywhere and just never gave an inch. Ditto for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). All the Wobs really put in...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Rocky can now turn it up a notch or two having had the weight of the captaincy lifted from his shoulders. Despite still being the captain in Durban he made sure he let Botha know he was there. Expecting big things from Rocky in the next month or so.

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Barnes? He has more gametime under his belt and can cover 15. Mitchell would be ideal. They are probably going to see who pulls up well on Friday night. Putting Turner in would amount to admitting picking a RWC squad very light on back 3 players.

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

Maybe dropping him from the squad altogether is a little over the top. Anyway, it has been dealt with and that is the end of it. Hopefully it does not happen again and he contributes to a successful RWC campaign.

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

That's the point Groucho, no-one is more important than the team. I understand your your concept of "punishing" professional adults and as a result the team and supporters suffering, and agree to a point. It is not a matter of correcting young James or even punishing him. It is more the ARU...

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

I think standing him down for 1 test is a waste of time and nothing more than a token gesture. We have Mitchell and Barnes coming back onto the scene. For showing such disregard for the side so close to the RWC I would have removed him from the RWC squad. Hard but fair. That he would...

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

I am a Palu fan but they would be better off taking Hodgson rather than Palu with no playing time under his belt

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

Horses for courses I guess. Sharpies lineout skills were needed to counter Victor and co. Deans feels that someone more physical is needed against the Blacks. Mind you, Simmons didn't quite match up physically last time against the Blackness. He may well go with Vicks and have Simmons on the...

Wallaby Scrum - As good as we claim?

Will Slipper at TH make our scrum stronger or weaker? I think Kepu in particular has come along nicely and is forming a fast improving front row with Alexander and Moore. I would have him(Slipper) on the bench in our game against Ireland and for the quarters, assuming we get that far. Our...

Wallabies no 7 for the world cup

I just think they are faster. McCalman plays on the ball because that is pretty much all he can do. Pococks value is that he is always on the ball...literally. He is so fast that he is the first or second Wallaby at most rucks. None of our other loosies can do that. I think if Higgers was...

Wallabies no 7 for the world cup

McCalman as a 7? Can't be serious. Higgers or Rocky would be much better. Deans must feel the game is going away from needing a fetcher, but if we don't have a fast little bloke on the paddock getting to all the breakdowns in a hurry we will get slayed by the big boys (NZ, SA, France, Eng)...

Giteau must be in Wallabies World Cup squad

Disagree. We need the players who can win the RWC. These guys now plan their retirement/European pension around RWCs for the most part. They are professionals and I see no problem with picking someone who has stuck around for the express purpose of representing their country in a RWC. There...

Giteau must be in Wallabies World Cup squad

Anyway, Gits should not be treated disrespectfully. Deans has to choose the squad he feels will bring back Bill. If Gits doesn't figure in that, well fair enough. Many other people in the know think he should be there. The changing of the guard must come at some point for him, and all long...

Wallabies Number 8 for the RWC

I think that is probably right FP. If you have a fit and firing Palu and a fit and firing Samo you would choose the former every time. The questions are 1.Can Palu get there in a couple of pool games? 2. Would you throw an underdone Palu in against the Irish? If Deans selects him, which I...

Select your Wallabies 22 for the All Blacks game in Brisbane.

I like this side. Even though A.Fainga'a is being looked at as a 13, I would like to see him have a run at 12 in between Cooper and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Plus Vickerman on to the bench in place of Simmons and it looks good. He could also go for a 5:2 split and give Turners bench spot to Hodgson or Robinson.
