If a player has committed to the ARU then what's the problem with selecting them - if they are the best player in their position? I don't agree with selecting player who are committed to playing overseas but if they have signed to play in Australia AND they are best pick.....I'd select them...

I'd have to agree with Konze. If Smith was going to come back and commit to Australian Rugby as did McAllister and Elsom then I don't think there would be a problem. If you wre to pick him though and he was still committed to French rugby - no way.
