Pole: Should there be a level playing field for Australian Super Rugby teams?

No such thing as a level playing field in the real world.

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

I am just happy they are playing better rugby and showing improvement, long way to go but they are improving From last weeks game, there was more work to be available on counter and improved skills shown Slowly but surely

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

It is quite simple, at the moment, despite Foley's "flaws" he is just miles ahead of all the other current options. In other positions the decision isn't so obvious. But with Genia, Beale, Folau, Korebete, Hodge & Kuridrani around him we finally have quite good balance and flexibility as...

    Waratahs 2018

Yeah, Beale & Cron appear to be our two key signings so far

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

We struck a very very good England side, the only game I was really disappointed with was the Scotland game; and we know the efforts in this June window were hampered by a want to get a decent fitness base on these guys; and we are see the outcomes improving in this set, we are working harder...

It is a different position really Hanson can blood players while resting incumbents, we are trying to find incumbents; and I have no issue with some guys playing games rather than holding tackling bags

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

I think you should look at who has become stable and consistently there over the international season. The four front rowers The three hookers Coleman Hooper McMahan Genia\Phipps Foley Beale Kurindrani Folau They seem to have locked in their spots It is the periphery that are...

Hey, he seems to like some experienced, calm old locks around in the squad. He had two early in Douglas and Simmons, Simmons won

So you don't factor in experience? IMHO Rodda and Tua were selected in front of Simmons, with Simmons being the safety call I would not actually be surprised at all to see Coleman Rodda & Tua being selected for this next test

    Waratahs 2018

But they are all apparently deeply flawed, if not rubbish (if you read the test threads)

OK, I agree that Simmons spot is questionable. But let us assume Coleman goes down on Friday and Simmons wasn't over there, would you really think Arnold, Rodda & Tua would be the answer to any question at the moment?

Yeah, I see Lealiifano as the most likely to be challenging Foley until Cooper decides to consistently bend his back in defence FFS. Get run over, get stepped, but bend your back and have a go in defense. Arm grabbing in defense is unacceptable (Beale can have this disease at times as well)

I think you are conflating to quite different styles of 10s and presuming that evey player can only play that way. It is like comparing Larkham and Dan Carter. One has the game play making revolve around them, the other facilitated the players around him. Now I am not trying to suggest that...

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

I don't think it is hard at all, Cheika loves high workrate, aggressive forwards. Timani just hasn't been that this season; and Higgers isn't going to be around or have the style of game he wants, he has great touches and individual moments but even his greatest fan wouldn't suggest he has a...
