With Simmons as the "stable" unit, I am quite comfortable with the McCauleys and Hanigans and Staniforths fighting for time in that other lock spot Robertson Latu Kepu Simmons Staniforth Hanigan Hooper Dempsey Would provide a rather busy set of worker bees I am still dubious on the value...

Pole: Should there be a level playing field for Australian Super Rugby teams?

I wouldn't be against the Kiwi defence from warehousing, (I think) each team nominates a protected 25, the balance of the squad can be drafted to other franchises for the season for their protected 25

Slipper should be an upgrade which is what we need as Robertson can take his rightful place as that Padawan 5th prop (I still think he is a better THP long term)

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 21st October, Suncorp, Brisbane

But that isn't what happens, Beale doesn't immediately start running back the wing or 2nd 15 on a turnover, they all try to realign, scramble and set the defensive screen; they fill in wherever they are and make do

I don't see the correlation between where a 12 defends at set piece and how the team scrambles and realigns after a turnover

Rodda made some serious impacts, he and Coleman were getting through the gainline

Shit, the sun is shining, the Wobs had a good win and some posters seem to have stepped on a dog turd Best rugby championship? No, but only being beaten by the ABs and playing some good rugby is not too foul

They will need to be an effective third choice lineout option, I don't know if Naisarani can be that. But yeah mobile, high workrate, lineout option & and an effective ball carrier

Our best players take a pay cuts to stay in Aus It doesn't and I don't believe it ever should, it is a separate payment to be available for the Wobs, they receive essentially a separate wage to play super rugby

Big match payments are a great incentive, but players want and can insist on greater certainty. Especially when foreign contracts will provide a more guaranteed income

It's rotation unless the unit has a blinder and demands re-selection

ARU tops is a bad measure in Aus rugby of Super Rugby "fairness", we already have a salary cap, tops ups reward past performance, always have a lag built into them and the player signs that with the ARU, it is separate from the Super Rugby deal. It is essentially a well paid second job
