I'm really looking forward to seeing Toomane out wide for the Ponies. Was great when I watched him play for Nudgee and was selected for Qld Schools without putting a boot on in the trials. He's big and fast so it will be interesting to see where they play him.

Draw for 2012 will be made public on 1 December. Seems the QRU are still keen on playing club games on Sunday after Reds games on the Saturday. I understand it from the Reds point of view but I know when I played Sunday's were a pain in the ass.

Roy Saunders has stood down as Prem Colts coach at Sunnybank with Richard Lewis taking over the reigns. Richard has been part of the colts program for the last few years and has been rewarded for his good work.

While it would be disappointing for SANZAR to disbanden I think that Aust, NZ and Arg could look to the Pacific and Asia as the solution. At least with Asia the time zone would be similar.

So season running from Feb-Aug for club/Super rugby and Sept-Dec for Internationals? I can't see it working. The NH teams wont want to play in summer and it's too hot to hold rugby in summer in SH. Plus the French Top 14 runs about 11 months as it is so they aren't going to want to change things.

And that is the problem with rugby at the moment. Reds now have 8 home games a year. I think one game played in a regional centre per year could be handled by the members in Brisbane.

Hard to make the final of a comp they aren't in. As for Central Coast 7's they were beaten by a club that invests money into their 7's program and contained a couple of players from the Aust 7's program.

I think it would be great if the Reds played one game a season at a ground outside Brisbane. This way more Queenslanders would have access to the players and games.

I think part of his problem has been that Johnson played him at 6, 7 & 8. I see him more as a 6 than anything else and it would put him up against Thompson at the Clan. I think the Highlanders might be a good fit for him though as Joseph is doing a great job with them.
