    Where to for Super Rugby?

KOB, just nit picking, but why would you have the Brumbies playing in Wagga when your original post identified that every NSW country club would be tied to the NSW Country franchise. My question is, would you see SIRU staying with the Brumbies or re-aligning to NSW Country?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

QH, have you answered KOB's identified problem with the bottom up, promotion/relegation model? The team/s to be relegated are easily identified, but how do the teams to be promoted get identified? Do we have a national knock out comp at the next level down to decide which team/s are promoted...

    Reds 2020

Agree, Wood was one of the harder men in the pack for the U20s, along with Wilson. McReight was just sheer class. Best of the locks was Trevor Hosea, but Wood had it over him for ball carrying ability.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not really - home ground advantage is quite a benefit to some teams, including some NZ sides. So, would be likely influenced by the teams being played away in NZ rather than the number of games.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's just bs QH. Doesn't allow for any variation year to year based on current performance. At some time along the way, one or more Aussie sides will be as good or better than some/all the NZ sides. They cannot be limited to onee side only because it happens to be relatively low time for our...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Slim, I really don't want national championship competition that allows five games each involving another country's (NZ) teams to influence the finishing order and hence the qualification forthe final series.

Bayley missed a couple of games from memory with the mumps. Pretty sure he was one of the affected players.

    Nz domestic rugby 2020

    Much appreciated WOB. Thanks.

    Nz domestic rugby 2020

What does it mean WOB in your opinion? Is there doubt about the M10/Heartlands comps getting off the ground this year, or is it likely some clubs will give it a miss until next year? Will it have any repercussions for the proposed Competition involving the Super franchises?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

One problem I see with that model is that at the end of the tack on TT round, the top teams might not exactly align with the outcome of the individual domestic competitions. We could end up with two national champs (one each for Aus and NZ) but an entirely different TT champion. Don't know how...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

OK, two separate comps looks good. Another 2 or 3 certain home games at the end of the Aus championship and the possibility of more if any of the Aus sides make the finals. But does it mean there is no time for finals to the Aus championship? Does it go straight to the one round v NZ? Which is...

    Reds 2020

I'm with Slim and Derpus on Coleman. Was in excellent form a couple of years ago, but not rated against the likes of Rodda and Arnold in 18 and 19. I'd also add that Harry Hockings, while very much a promising player, is being over-hyped atm imo. To pick just one aspect of his game is the same...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Badge, I just can't get my head around a competition that is essentially local but has one round against another country's teams. Why should games against NZ sides affect the local ladder that has as its end game the national championship. Just doesn't make any sense at all. Either the new...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Just not true RN. With four teams last year and this, the Brumbies have been more than a match for most of the NZ sides. The Reds are full of more promise than any other team and quite conceivably will also be a match for the top NZ sides by next year. Even the Rebels and Tahs have had the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yep, went into a sporting shop in Bath a few years back. It was decked out majorly in Brumbies paraphernalia. More than any other club that I could see. Not a Vikings jersey in sight.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

QH, but in the context of rugby in this country over the past decade or more, when there has been a distinct disconnect between various vested interests at Super/test and "clubland", the term clubs has widely become to mean SS, Hospital Cup, JID competitions - rightly or wrongly. I think for...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

In a club based comp, where would our current Super coaches and staff end up? Would we just return to the very poor years of sub-standard coaching leading to diminishing skills in our national team as well? Don't like, actually hate, the club based system - would be the worst outcome for...

    Australian Rugby / RA

My biggest concern RN is that one A Jones is positioning himself for the CEO job after giving up his daytime paying job.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Good effort KOB. I'd consider Douglas in the second row in favour of either Staniforth or RHP, and Billy Meakes at 12 with a close call between Henry and Filipo on the wing. Paisami then to 13.
