Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

We look like we may have a stronger side for test 2 with Horwill, Lilo and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) available. We are stuck with JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 so there is no use pulling the QC (Quade Cooper) ot To'omua card out as neither has been called into the squad. Beale starting at 15 and Tomane or Cummins on the wing in place of Diggers will be...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Unlucky for McCabe, Barnes and Ioane and I hope they recover quickly. None of them went very well last week and the Wallabies will be OK without them. If Lilo and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) can start with Horne on the bench to cover them we are probably stronger in the centres. Beale starting and Tomane or the Badger...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

We need one of Mowen or Palu to make the big plays. Both just go about their work and contribute steadily throughout a game. Palu did pull off a couple of big hits and shifted a few rucks that enabled us to keep possession and he was probably more prominent than Mowen. Hooper was also pretty...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

I imagine that we would start with the same pack but maybe change the bench a little. MMM or Kimlin in for Simmons. Smith in for Gill if he is fit. The backs are the big issue. Lilo, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Barnes. Beale should start at fullback. Hopefully Lilo is fit and Horne will start for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) if he is out...

    James Horwill cited for stamping

Lucky break for the Wallabies. The judicial system is a lottery and that could easily have gone the other way and been a lengthy ban.

    James Horwill cited for stamping

SWEET!! Lucky break for the Wallabies.

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Smith and Kimlin on the bench as the non front row forwards reserves makes a lot of sense and both can impact a game. Maybe Smith can play 10 at a pinch?

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Any word on Horwill's hearing? If we play JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 without a playmaking 12 it will be tough to win.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Time for Sharpie to strap on the boots again?

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

My point was that they go in a new direction with Lilo at 12 as a second playmaker, and that is being very generous to JOC (James O'Connor), and then put McCabe into the game as soon as Lilo is injured. The 2nd playmaker theory goes out the window in the first minute. Why not introduce KB (Kurtley Beale) and continue on with...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

After watching the game a second time and watching both of these blokes closely I feel that they both contributed a lot but are very different players. Mowen is steady and always where he supposed to be but lacks power for his size. Palu put in some big hits and shifted some rucks when they were...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

Or that there was no backup plan in place if Lilo was injured early.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I'd say it was always Deans intention for Lealifano to be the playmaker tonight with JOC (James O'Connor) playing a linking and running roll. As soon as Lealifano left the field JOC (James O'Connor) was in trouble. McCabe is absolutely not the answer for us at 12 and I think any 10 would(and have) struggle with him there at this...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

I would like to see MMM or Kimlin in place of Simmons to give us more impact and flexibility. If Simmons is in the 22 he needs to start.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

We cannot try and out Lion the Lions. Deans game plan for the past couple of years is to play mistake free rugby and accumulate points. Unfortunately these blokes will do it better and the Reds showed tonight that taking them out of their comfort zone and away from their structure is the way to...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

I am a Samo fan as well. He has great strength and the ability to take the wind out of any sides sails on his own. He is only good for 40-50 minutes these days but can impact any game. He is past his peak but still has something to offer if needed.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Peter Kimlin anyone.......? 2nd time I have put his name forward. With Higgers out and MMM severely underdone he is coming into some excellent form just at the right time. He covers 5,6 and 8.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

If we start with JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 and have KB (Kurtley Beale) at 15 with Barnes on the bench there is no room for another 10 in the 22. Our back reserves will be Halfback Centre Barnes If Lilo is also in the starting side we are top heavy with inside backs. There does not seem any reason to include To'omua..........or...

Sorry. Was not meant to personal. It is just a typical line of thought for a front rower.
