And this one as well. I've highlighted a line or two for all the McCaw haters out there :P

Shortlist announced for IRB Player of Year

Wow...Aussies thinking another AB should be in the running?!?! Agree that Read should probably be the list. I think McCaw should win it with Pocock coming 2nd. Ritchie's on-going influence on so many levels of the game is too strong to be ignored. Pocock, IMO, has a little way to go before...

    Greg Inglis?

Groucho - I probably didn't make it clear enough that I wasn't referring to people here on this site but rather the comments and attitudes I've read on the news sites eg. SMH/Daily Telegraph etc. I'd say the majority of those comments are negative towards Tahu. And like it or not I do think that...

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

Just thinking about it is making me laugh :) Laughing really sucks too cos you're really wanting to enjoy the moment but it feels like someone is sticking an 8-inch bushknife in your side....lol

French barbarians vs tonga team lists

I went to school with Samiu Vahafolau in NZ. He was a bloody huge bastard for a 17 yr old. And f**kn fast. He scored an amazing try for the Blues back when he was warming the bench for them...didn't realise he was still playing.

    Name the game

I'll remember that one for when I am three parts pissed...lol That game for me cemented Jonah's legendary status in rugby. He bloody well carried us for 80min and very nearly single-handedly won that game. And was then the first guy to wait and stand at the players entrance and...

    Greg Inglis?

To be fair, I haven't really seen anyone here defending Monaghan but I have elsewhere. The number of people attacking Tahu though as a "cry-baby" and "sook" because of the Johns affair is ridiculous. Tahu should have gone to NZ and played rugby. From what I saw, he switched codes at a time...

    Greg Inglis?

BTW...I wouldn't sign Inglis either.....unless he was happy to take a fairly standard contract. Def not for the big bucks he seems to be chasing....

    Greg Inglis?

Tahu is only in trouble because stood up against racism. I've been surprised at the number of people who put the NSW jumper before human decency. I know he's accused of racist comments himself recently but that's all they are - accusations. By the boys father. Who's also the coach. I don't...

OK - I did read that but I thought 'WTF is a normal position?'. And Castro did push forward....

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

This probably means if he gets hit hard in the ribs even once or gets stuck on the bottom of a ruck with 200+ kgs on top of him, he'll be in a world of pain for the rest of the game.....even breathing hurts when your ribs are f**kd.

Can anyone find in the IRB laws where it is illegal to either 'bore in' or to keep your shoulders 'square'? (By square, I'm guessing that we mean parallel to the opposition or the try lines?) I've had a look thru the IRB scrum laws and can't find it myself.

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

Yeah...I agree. I've played League and Gridiron with bruised/cracked ribs and it was f**kn painful!! Played two games to realise that 'playing thru it' wasn't going to work for the pain in my side. Only a dislocated shoulder (which ended up taking approx 5hrs to get back in) and Grade 2 ligament...

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

I'll admit that I didn't watch a lot of Wallaby games last year apart from the AB Tests but I haven't seen anything yet this year that would support this statement.

We'd win everything in the years in between World Cups though...lol

I've never been a big fan of the Rocket Man. He had lightening speed and finished a lot of moves but as he's slowed down a bit, I don't think he's changed his game enough a la Doug Howlett at the end of his AB playing days. I have been a bit of a Toeava fan and I think he's played really...
