It's good to see RA stand firm on the 5 team or nothing line, and NZ can't go it alone and need Aus teams to fill out a viable competition............. I would hope common sense prevails in the end, but in the meantime they all seem to be pandering.

Panda is suggesting if RA goes it alone they'll set up an 8 team competition with the Drua, Sunwolves and and Argentinian team........... I don't buy it. Ultimately, I think once all of the cold war style negotiation and posturing is done with NZ and RA will agree to an initial 10 team...

Definitely thought he was one of the best players on the ground......... had a number of strong carries, dominant tackles etc. The Brumbies are very strong around the breakdown, and he plays a big part in that.

He’s essentially a tall open side flanker, and doesn’t provide any balance to the backrow playing at 6. I think we need a bit more grunt in that position.

I don’t think Liam Wright has the attributes to play 6 at test level.......... I would be surprised if Hooper isn’t a starter, but this backrow could be pretty good: 6. Valetini 7. Wright 8. Naisarani / Wilson

I'd be looking at something like......... 11. Koroibete 14. ??? - DHP, Wright, Kellaway, Daugunu, Muirhead (probably not, but on this year's form.........) 15. Banks or DHP 23. Whoever misses out from above. Personally, I don't rate Maddocks.

On the wing, I would probably take both Wright and Kellaway over Maddocks........ I know that Wright was in Rennie's "squad," and I would expect Daugunu to be included as well.

Although he put in a few good kicks last night, I thought overall that Maddocks was poor......... DHP and Banks for me.

DHP was in pretty good form earlier in the year.......... That was Banks first game back since the break, and though he was solid......... much safer under the high ball than Hansen.

Nah, it definitely wasn't as bad prior to that......... they still won most of their own lineout ball up until then. I'm not sure if they won another lineout after both Swain and Fainga'a left the field though?

Funnily enough, I thought their scrum improved with Valetini packing in the second row.........

Also, Rod Kafer on forward work - Valetini doesn't carry enough, should hit less rucks.......... FML.
