I like Jones at 6 as well. Jones has almost demanded selection as well - but he's played lock doing that. Then there is Fardy who hasn't lost his position.

Write up on the rugby news Facebook about the Penrith v Easts game, thought it would have been posted on gagr first.

    Shute Shield 2014

Or maybe some of the critiques could step up and have a crack at it, man I reckon it would be harder to ref a game than it is playing. By all means help out from the side line, but there are boundaries that most people would / should be aware of. They need to be respected.

Good to see you know he's still a Marlin and not owned by the Rebels Slim ;). Slim I was honest, if Carter got selected I couldn't say he didn't deserve it - locks are my concern.

Front row - I follow the difference between loose and tight, some props can play both but they are specialized positions. Flanker is either blind or open and that is subject to the field position. In the role of the scrum - what is the difference between a loose head & a tight head?

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Possibly but I've seen some awesome game time at 6. Interesting selection this one. Slim, Carter has been playing great rugby, one of the most consistent for the past 2 seasons - I just cant see him in gold, but i also cant justify why I say that as well.

I'm sure Link will pick a balanced side and coach / train them through. He had no issues taking the captaincy from Horwill last year and attractive rugby was played on the EOYT. Number 6 Jones has been a consistent stand out this year - I think that will be rewarded, at lock or number 6 I'm not...

Serious get to the corner and stick your nose up against the wall, I would say go and tell mummy but it's mothers day.

    Shute Shield 2014

Mothers Day - thanks Club Rugby TV albeit having the Marlins playing under the Beasties logo. Wasn't there - looked like a "win ugly" that luckily included a bonus point and i didn't see any injuries. Great seeing some colts come on off the bench.

    Shute Shield 2014

I'm not going to pass comment because I haven't watched them yet. As of this morning they sit Top in 1's and have scored more points than any other team. In seconds they are undefeated with an awesome for and against. and in Forths' they are also undefeated. Possibly, but maybe there are...

    Sydney Colts - 2014

Interesting colts comp this year, and we haven't reached the half way point yet. Norths touch up Uni last week, but were down 40 - 10 at Oranges yesterday against Manly in a high scoring game. Manly who should have won the GF last year were 2 wins from 5 games (all close) the last 2 games were...

    How to promote the game

The country NRC team could do it if they took a game out to the country. Bid Wool shed breakfast, have their Wallabies join in the morning, Tamworth maybe as they can handle the population growth with the music festival. Not sure if they have a ground suitable

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Would this be the Randwick team + Hoiles if they stood alone? Who else would be added?

    Shute Shield 2014

Yeah they needed to print 7000+ Average home ground attendance this year for the Marlins could be pushing 4000 and we are into round 7, another big week next week with Back to Manly. Last weeks I'd say is a work in progress, and the Dukes is a great example.

    Manly 2014

One game at a time, at the moment we have 4 first grade props on the side line.

    Manly 2014

Size and Culture - Culture is very important with strong depth, everyone is equal in the gym - credit has to go to J Train there. Real work is also impressive - looking forward to the 31st May when Hugh Roach takes him on.

There we go Rugby club talking sabbaticals to Japan as a possible option. I like the idea and needs further serious thought

    Aussie Player Exodus

@Wamberal - some interesting points Firstly, I like most posters would like to see the players playing in Australia, however, we are seeing more challenges to our code, and also our players now. So we need to look at them and find ways to benefit rather than keep losing them; Interesting...
