The link worked, but the first post still cant be seen. Should have another crack in the Magners forum, not everyone visits Sydney Uni, they spend so much time trolling over Manly's gnarly thread;)

Yes i would agree, Malie had another strong game on the weekend, they beat a well beaten team because they all played well. Maile is at a completely different level. Yes again Benson Fakai is the centre, and he got some good reviews from within the squad.

Well taking opportunities when they arrive is how you climb to the next grade / level - keeps everyone strong

It does, and I think the JV clubs that are working together will only strengthen all the clubs involved (rays and rams)

How about that centre in seconds that carried and broke through half the side from 40 meters out (hingano). Great seeing supporters get there for all grades.

Afternoon of quality rugby, dinner at the bowling club, then a free ferry, and bus with a Tahs ticket to the Tahs game. Not many grounds could deliver that - Manly oval would have to go to the top of that list.

Nah, Manly will not let you down with regards to catering. Move the Tahs to Manly and the Tahs can play the curtain raiser. Manly will provide the atmosphere - we will even provide a hill for the parocial crowd.

    Blues v Tahs, round 11 2014

HJ - not sure what point your trying to make? Definitely no stab at Uni. Whilst there is a huge rivalry there and most clubs cheer for any team they are playing against I think we all need appreciate what they have done for lifting the game and the 3rt tier. I’ve said this before in around...

    Shute Shield 2014

Good game but still rate the Manly v Uni semi last year as better albeit loosing after the hooter. Strong comp the Shute and the true 3rd tier at the moment with quality games being played. Hopefully with the geographic structure rivalries can be carried through to the NRC

It will be louder than loud. It does just work very well. One of the few clubs that can look after their sponsors in a George Smith stand and do it well.

Where ever Manly is playing. At the gate where the players run out, never had an issue or a complaint down there. Hope the sun shines on both derby days. Yes we share it with cricket, but it is a good day out and MRU have always done a great job.

By going to Manly this weekend, I know you will.

Let's consistently get more than 20k there then. You generally see businesses staffing their business to peak periods / or patronage requirements. You don't see all counters of McDonalds attended by staff at 3pm in the afternoon in hope people will come. But I'm sure if patrons increased at 3pm...

I'm sure if attractive winning rugby was played we wouldn't be complaining about the ground and catering. People go to watch rugby, let's get quality rugby, get the winning feeling, get the crowds and I think the decorations to the night out will fall into place.

    Shute Shield 2014

It will be a trip well worth making this coming weekend. Last on the above list, but for a number of years now it has consistently got the best gate takings. That says something. 4 away games out of the first 5 will have people wanting to knock down the walls to get in and watch their team.
