Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

You know Reece Hodge would have also been useful at 12.

Can't recall railing against Palu. Refer to previous post. Pressure needs to be taken off Foley with Lilo at 12. Another kicker always inside him. I agree with your main point to an extent. It's hard to say our tactics in game 1 were the wrong choice. We out-scored them, it was discipline...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

We don't have to drop him, we just need alternative options. Gits took so much pressure off Foley's kicking in the RWC - not sure why we can't do the same now. As good as Kerevi was, Foley NEEDS another playmaker and kicker inside him. Lilo needs to step up and take some control off Foley...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Lilo at 10 instead of Foley. or Lilo at 12 to take pressure off Foley. Morahan on wing instead of Horne to add another kicker. How about a simple thing like having DHP slot into the pocket to take some pressure off Foley whilst kicking out of our half. Nothing unrealistic about those...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

As other posters have already mentioned, it's not the game-plan that is the problem. It's execution of basic skills and basic tactic thats every TEST players should know. Think test 1. The game-plan was right, we dominated the first 20mins. But gave away 9 penalities in kicking zone - you'd...

    Eddie Jones - The Coach

Can't believe people are still banging on about the way he left Australian rugby in 2005. He did take the wallabies to a RWC final in 03 too. And that was over 10 years ago. Since then he helped coach the Boks to RWC win, and has been an international coach for Japan for a number of years...

Least Dylan talks to ref's without irritating them. I don't think Moore was ever a long-term solution. We should be looking at another Captain soon for the next RWC.

Nice perspective Tip. I think you hit the nail on the head. I'm afraid the England game in the RWC has led to Cheika getting overhyped and possibly over confident. Not that he should be dropped, it will be interesting to see how he adapts, if he does at all.

Great post Quickhands. To put things in perspective, Think about Larkham back in the day. He could put in an accurate bomb, a cross field kick, kick to space out the back if needed, chip kick, And he didn't have a great amount of distance to his kicks. He was considered a poor kicker in...

I'd still be tempted to start him next week.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I'd rather McCalman at 6 then Mumm. I've watched bit of the game again and Fardy actually was good in the first half - think he just go too fatigued and started coughing up the ball in the second. Horne is so one dimensional in attack, at 12 it is such a waste. Foley will struggle even more...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

A 12 at 12 and a winger on the wing. Then you put Horne at 12 and Kerevi on the wing. Right. And another 7 at 8. Shouldn't we play our 7 at 7 and our 8 at 8 too. Don't even get me started with Mumm at 6.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Yes but look at the context of when Foley has been good. 1. When Beale is on the field. To a lesser extent Gits. 2. When he is not required to do any kicking. Not sure Foley has the ability to play anything other then the Cheika-ball style he learned at the Tahs. A flyhalf needs to at least...

    Sums up our attack.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Absolutely. Our attack was completely one dimensional. A poster already mentioned this, But just image if we did not have Falou - how bloody poor would our backline be. Zero creatively, Zero line-breaks, Zero threatening players. The best we can do is nearly make a half-break...nearly.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

He won coach of the year last year, and we played attractive rugby through-out the RWC.Most consider the RWC a success. It was in my books. Thats where the hype came from. But now we are seeing he only has one strategy and that is being worked out quick by smart coaches. Cheika is good at...

He'd be my first choice. Or I'd probably just go with Poey and give him another go.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Nice post Swandive. But I disagree with a point, we were clearly not the better attacking team. We had 20 plus phases and couldn't break the line. I think some-one said we have zero line-breaks in our stats and over 60% possession. Just because we had the ball more and didn't kick doesn't make...
