But Quade doesn't really have that many dominate performances either. Not at Test level. His Dunedin game was very good and his EOYT was also good too. But I would say his EOYT is on par to Foley's RWC - Because in a RWC the pressure is higher. Foley's England game was better then Coopers...

^^^^^^^ Compared to Foley he's pretty similar in the number of good performances at test level. Foley catching up slowly in poor performances.

So what's the point? The flyhalf is useless behind a beaten pack. Might as well play some more backrowers there then if that's your attitude. I actually think they become more important behind a beaten pack. They can get you out of trouble or in a good position with one decent kick.

I wasn't suggesting that. I was just attempting to point out that not all fly-halves suddenly become useless when the forward pack is beaten. Although Foley seems to fit that category, I agree he was still the best option for last week. But I would like to point out I actually think QC (Quade Cooper) is...

How about Steven Larkham. Our test team was behind a beaten pack for many games in his test career. It's difficult, but not impossible.

A strong goal-kicker always makes a difference. How bloody rare is a game of rugby where their wasn't at least one penalty or conversion.

Johnny Wilkinson, Dan Carter. Cos at least they still kick goals.

Foley has only ever shined with a forward pack going forward. Last weekend is a prime example of him struggling with a beaten pack. The only time he plays well is with a competitive forward pack (RWC, Tahs), plus he also needs a second play-maker, he has struggled every other time without those...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Agree on Sio. Slipper also benefited from poor turf, i'd imagine we would have been penalised more otehrwise. Skelton could be interesting though. Probs see him on the bench. No point in playing Palu - he won't be here for the RWC - might as well give others game time.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I guess I'm wondering if players like Houston and Gill are still training in the squad. Who is a realistic chance to play next week. Only those who have had time with the squad. For example many have stated names like Coleman or Timani but they haven't even trained with the squad so their...

So who exactly is left in the squad?

He great all-round skills in defending, passing, kicking, and high ball. Would be a great fullback or compliment to Folau.

But Kerevi is more of a playmaker then Folau. Folau is an average passer. A player who makes breaks shouldn't be regarded as a "playmaker" - he is a dangerous runner and a dangerous attacker. Don't you recall the overlap he screwed up by running into Kuridrani (it think it was Kuridrani)...

He failed to catch two before the bounced one as well. I think he caught 2 cleanly tho. Less then 50% success rate. DHP will be easily targeted... actually he was targeted and it worked. I have high hopes for him though, still a solid effort.

Are you being serious or are you getting amongst the fun of picking out-there squads?

I'd actually like to see Cheika make some left-field selections next match.

From the main page: From poster RobC in the main page: http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/eight-angry-observations-tonights-game/ We just needed a playmaker or two to recognise the opportunities created.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I can recall two times where we DID create an advantage in their defensive line. A good overlap to the right just needed to go through the hands but Foley chooses to truck it up. DHP out wide on the left but Folau/Kuridrani seem to run into each other. Wide balls or a cross field kick...

I think your referring to the one just after kick-off where he made about 8 metres. He did not make anywhere near 15m in a single carry. I copied them from this post: They are on ESPNscrum apparently.
