    Wallabies have a drinking problem?

Simple copy the headline, then paste it into google. Generally, click the first link that shows up (with the tag "news blog" or something).

Better them than us. That's one less worry for the Australian teams.

It was only two or so years ago when Genia was considered by many to be the best, or very close to it, in the Wallabies under the high ball. Genia was good under the high ball, but it says a bit about the rest of the players too.

Not sure on resting players for this game. We are starting to get some combinations and string some decent performances back to back. Ringing the chances for this game would make me a little nervous. The odd player could be rested or move to the bench, but I'd be inclined to keep most of the...

    Reds 2014

Colour me sceptical with reported heights and weights.

Actually, CFS is a 13, not a wing, and has indeed played at 13 for the Reds. CFS played most of his junior career as a 13. He's just being groomed on the wing before what should be a switch to 13.

    Teams of the Century (20th)

Latham was originally from nothern NSW country, Narrabri to be exact I think. When did he join Randwick / move to Sydney? Incidentally, Latho now lives in Hervey Bay with his family after retiring in 2012.

    Best World Wallaby team

Yeah, Mitchell has not yet settled in and hasn't set the world alight at all over in France. Haven't seen how Kimlin currently is going. Is he no longer injured?

I'm normally Timani's biggest critic, but he was improved vs Italy. Timani still had the usual issues. His ruck technique is woeful as he just flops or dives in with no effort to keep his feet, and he spends plenty of time walking in backplay. Some of his play with and around the ball was...

    Good Players Playing Badly

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both Horwill and Genia returned from significant injuries this year. Genia's knee op in particular is something that usually takes players 6 months to a year to get back into form post comeback. Wouldn't be surprised if Horwill has been carrying injuries as well...

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Last year the Eyeties should have tied. They missed two very kickable penalties in the last 5 or so minutes, if I remember correctly. Last year's Italy game was a shocking game of rugby. We score an early try then didn't play football for the rest of the game. Our forwards struggled at the...

Time to throw out the bath water

Slipper actually did a better job at holding up his side of the scrum than Ryan this year. edit: So did Alexander, of course! Who did better than Slipper on TH, on average.

Two points. 1: Scrum perception. I think the English front row was better than us, and did do a number on us. However, Link does have a point about perception. I think this was highlighted by two scrums with English feeds that Clancy simply reset instead of awarding a penalty or feed to...

Time to throw out the bath water

Why? Sio at LH did worse in the scrums than Slipper when he came off the bench for the Wallabies. Going on performances, Sio would be third choice LH right now behind Robinson and Slipper. That being said, I would have Sio in my squad with Slipper at TH. Sio has huge potential and will be...

    Any lawyers here?

A few points about PPPs: - As a rule of thumb, it's cheaper for the government in Australia to borrow money rather than private enterprise. - As a rule of thumb, complex deals and floats are more inefficient in terms of funding costs: the bankers never lose, and often rake in tens of millions...

    Rebels 2014

The guys who are no longer Australia qualified have sadly limited their Super Rugby careers in Australia - they will have to head overseas after their current contract or after 2 years.

    Any lawyers here?

Spiro and Harris are well known Deans supporters and sympathisers, plus they also have a dislike for McKenzie for whatever reason. If you go back to previous articles, they've been attacking him as Reds head coach for a while. Spiro and Harris are hardly objective sources on the head coach of...

Don't know how you can consider Douglas and Timani a moot point. One can jump in the lineout effectively, hits and cleans out rucks with good technique and does more than job and slip around the park. Douglas has great potential, this year he seemed to hit second year syndrom unfortunately.

Indeed, I find it fustrating to kick away so much ball around the 40m - 50m part of the field. Ultimately we either gifted them ball or field position. Most of the time the guy who received the ball kicked it back. I can only assume it was a tactic. I hope we don't see it again on this tour.
