Disagree. Very, very much. Fullback is not a defensive position, all you need to do is look at Australia's history of attacking fullbacks. Since going professional, we've had Burke and Latham, and going back to guys like, say, Roeback and Campo. Roff is another who could play some fullback...

    Reds 2014

Didn't notice it until you mentioned it, and didn't recognise the significance until you said it! I don't mind claiming the Super 6, Super 10 wins, you should remember history. But, it's fair enough not to count them on the jersey in that fashion as the game has since gone professional and...

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

Wilkinson is retiring; Halfpenny deal is off as the asking price was too high (or so was reported). With JOC (James O'Connor) only being 23 you can see why they are keen to sign him, and willing to take a punt on the team harmony issues.

    Reds 2014

Little baby boy is now a Reds member. Took me a bit to work out how to add him as a secondary member to my account, then I had to delete my renewal and re-add it to the basket as, for some reason, my $55 membership + $10 donation was coming up as $75! Yes, I got the donation for both the baby...

    Reds 2014

I've been putting off renewing my Forever Red membership as my new baby comes home on Saturday and I want to get him a Baby Red membership at the same time. Anyone else have the Baby Red or Red Toddler memberships? It may be a struggle bringing him up to love the Reds in the land of the Tahs...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Some people on here refer to league as five kick as the flow of the game is generally five tackles then kick the ball.

Jono's drawback is his lack of pace. He seems a good, natural footballer though, with a good mix of skills.

Aussie Super Rugby teams not particularly valuable...

Not sure that the Panthers pokies factories clubs equates with their sporting "brand" that was supposedly measured. Brand valuation is a hokey thing at the best of time, up there with good will. Nothing like seeing companies have over valued estimations of their own brand on their books as...

Aussie Super Rugby teams not particularly valuable...

The Lions being above the Broncos was mind boggling enough, ignoring "brands" like the Panthers and Eels being ranked so high. Just how they valued the "brand" is the big question. I suspect a couple of chimpanzees and a calculator. I guess it's better than previous years, where I suspect...

    Spring Tour Improvements

One of the key areas for lineout jumpers is their "spring" off the ground. This makes lifting significantly easier, allows them to reach a greater height, and most importantly, gets them up quicker. Some guys have the ability to launch themselves quickly upwards whilst being stiff as a board -...

    Best World Wallaby team

Unlikely the other aspects of Palmer's game will improve in France. Over there THPs just scrummage; they aren't expected to do much else. I am not a fan of how the teams there treat the scrummage - it's a complete mess, with each pack just trying to make it a mess for the other team...

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

Brett Harris really does not like Quade Cooper, does he? Harris is almost willing Cooper to fail, and got in early with a "I told you so" article. And don't forget the pro-Deans anti-McKenzie parts for good measure...

    Brumbies 2014

Don't mind the new classic jersey, doesn't look bad at all. Quite like it, actually. Especially when compared to that previous attempt; Justin Harrison is a horrible model for a poor jersey.

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

I suspect that Lilo is hampered by his ankle, his pace seems to be very lacking on what it was previously and his step / swerve seems to be missing. In hindsight it might have been better to leave Lilo at home to get his ankle op and instead have taken Betham on tour. This would have given...

Like that team, BH. Not sure if I'd take Gill or McCalman as the bench forward, though.

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

The other guy who deserves full credit is Moore. He was really struggling at the start of the RC and I thought was really poor in the first two RC games, but has steadily improved game by game to be the key Australian forward for this EOYT, in my opinion. Great to have Squeaky in great form again.

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

I've been critical of Folau's defensive reading of plays previously, but he's improving as he gets more experience. He made a couple of key decisions that were spot on, including covering Maitland and drifting to then stop the winger in the corner and again down the short side later in the...

    Waratahs 2014

Ferguson is very talented, but unless he fixes up his off field antics then he will go down as just another player whose career was curtailed by continual off field stupidity. I'm worried Beale may end up going down that path, too.

    Waratahs 2014

Yeah, I dislike Weidler. He's more of a gossip reporter than a sports journalist, and it's clear that he gives his "pals" (particularly some league "bad boys" who consistently screw up and misbehave) that talk to him favourable reporting and he tries to blast those who don't give him the time of...
