    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Hopefully we see TPN given a full half in the way of a bit if a breather for Moore. Also Gill should get close to a half. Looking forward to seeing a Robinson, TPN and Ryan front row some time in the second stanza. It is a good looking side without much to complain about.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Looking forward to seeing Liam Gill get an extended run and seeing what effect he has on our breakdown work. I don't think throwing big bodies in there is the answer. Our back row lacks balance once again without a recognized 8, a 6 playing 8 and no fetcher.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Our back row have been pretty average as a unit with Fardy and Hooper playing well individually most of the time. It would be hard to argue with a backrow of Higgers, Pocock and Palu being far superior. I would like to see Gill starting at 7 this week. His set piece and breakdown work is way...

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Our breakdown work is weak and inaccurate. Hooper has been one of our best but doesn't leave his mark on the forwards performance. Introducing Gill and Robinson will make a big difference. Hooper to come in for the last 30 minutes or so to speed up the game could be much more effective than him...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

They showed all of the RC but not the final Bled......also none of the EOYT games are listed at this point.

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

Pocock is also a very good choice for skipper. Horwill is struggling for form but his main issue is his inability to build a rapport with the ref......any ref. He lacks the temperament required to balance his own game, deal with the ref and guide his side at the highest level. Ditto for Will...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

It is a matter of balance in the backrow as a unit. With Fardy and Mowen there is a need for Hoopers running game. As soon as you introduce Higgers and/or Palu it becomes less important. A fit Pocock will be the first Wallaby picked and 6 and 8 will be picked around him. IfHiggers or Palu is...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

Shame that Link doesn't care for Morahan..........maybe it has something to do with his move to the Force? He had a pretty good season for the Reds and his game against the BILs was excellent showing that he is comfortable and effective at test level. He could have started at 15 with Folau back...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

The coaching team and direction needs to come under scrutiny. Hopefully Link has taken his head out of the clouds by years end and realizes that Super and test rugby are two very different beasts. He needs some big strong forwards with attitude and a squad willing to sacrifice all for the cause...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Simmons has to go. With Mowen in the backrow we can easily carry a second rower that is not great at lineout time. Timani offers much more at scrum time and at the breakdown. God I hope he stays. Fat Cat in and Slipper back to TH. This should be our strongest scrumming tight 5. If we can negate...

    Ewen McKenzie: Wallaby Coach

It has been a very tough initiation for Link and unfortunately he has been without a recognised test backrow and with the Wallabies star player woefully out of form. He also had little time to work with his squad prior to this RC. It is not fair to judge him on his first few tests in charge...

Drew Mitchell would be very handy about now...

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

The Boks and the Pumas will both play a kicking game for field possession and also use the box kick regularly. I would not be a fan of moving AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) away from 13 under normal circumstances, but these are anything but. For these 2 tests I would have AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 15, Folau back on the wing, Kuridrani at 13...

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

It is what it is. The decision to drop JOC (James O'Connor) is the correct one and the team will suffer in the short term in order to be stronger for the future. We are looking down the barrel for this mini tour.

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

So, what now for our back 3? Folau is somewhat inexperienced. Beale, Mogg and now Juice(JOC (James O'Connor)) are unavailable. Playing Folau with Cummins and Tomane and/or Betham and/or CFS could be a disaster. We need at least 2 of our back 3 to be able to kick a little. To'omua to 15? Or Quade? AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to the...

    Wallaby Locks - The Future

It's all about balance in the back 5. If Palu and Higgers were starting we would need different qualities in our locks than those one would think we require now, With Fardy and Mowen in the backrow I see absolutely no need for Simmons. Timani and Horwill would compliment them much better. If...

Australia v Argentina, Sept 14th in Perth

Agreed. The breakdown is and probably always be a bit of a grey area. I was referring to the scrum. It seems pretty straight forward now.
