    Rebels 2012

I agree with you Suckerforred. But not meant as an insult on Melbourne. But being there together with Cipriani changes the dynamics of the team and their behaviour. No leadership group would be able to rein in three hot headed youngsters like those guys. Not unless their positions were up for...

    Western Force 2012

It will be four weekends without rugby. Then again Robbie said that the midweek Scotland game will be primarily Force and Reds because we both have the bye. I'd expect to see a fair few players get game time like Pek Cowan, Nathan Charles, Salesi Ma'afu, Nathan Sharpe, whichever of our...

The heart surgeon on the sideline must have been licking his lips. Here's my card gentlemen and here is a complimentary burger.

    Brumbies 2012

Have you ever heard of a player called Rob Horne? According to most Waratahs fans the sun shines out of his ass. Has he actually ever played three consecutive games?

    Brumbies 2012

Why? They are better than yours. Fotu Auelua hasn't even rocked up in Canberra yet.

    Brumbies 2012

Like doesn't quite cover it. Can you be a troll in your team's own thread?

    Brumbies 2012

That Canberra game had no David Pocock and no Matt Hodgson. You guys got off lightly.

    Brumbies 2012

I think we have the Brumbies covered from 4-15. You have a slight edge in the front row.

I'd like to see Swanepoel back. Agree completely with Fava that we need to plan for when Sheehan calls it quits.

    Western Force 2012

Yeah he might make a good bench option if injuries strike. That's why getting a new 9 or not making a decision about who to take Ripia's place just yet might be a good idea.

    Men behaving badly

They did. Care was over looked for the England squad. Props to Lancaster.

Seymour was signed when there were two others who would have started before he did. I doubt he/they would have expected to get game time except a few appearances off the bench. At that stage there was no point in signing Harvey because he is getting too old to be a development prospect. Why not...

TOCC: We don't necessarily need him as a starter. Just as a back up for Stannard and just for the one season. Daz: He made the Wallabies in 2007. But then again so did Sam Norton-Knight. He might not have been great but he was good.

    Western Force 2012

Yeah so 2011 wasn't that great for him. But pre brain tumour he was going great guns. No reason why he couldn't return to that form or at least be better than 2011.

    Rebels 2012

Perhaps the policy will change with Lancaster but Johnson said that not playing in the English Premiership would significantly hurt a player's selection chances. In other words, you're out unless you are so bloody good that we can't afford not to pick you or we have an injury crisis.

    Western Force 2012

Forget Beale or O'Connor. The Force want James Hilgendorf back. And ideally uninjured. Or maybe Julian Huxley.

    Western Force 2012

I wasn't saying that the Rebels were bad for Australian rugby or that it is making depth of Wallaby eligible worse. I was saying that we don't have the player numbers to accomodate 5 teams of Australian players without some of those teams being thin on the ground in certain areas and having to...

    Western Force 2012

That should be the point. Australian rugby depth was always going to be stretched to breaking point with the inclusion of the Melbourne Rebels. A clever ARU would have seen this and given the other teams an additional marquee player spot. You can see why the ARU wants squads to be as Wallaby...

    Western Force 2012

We could probably establish and maintain a professional (marginally) domestic competition that runs at a manageable loss. The first year of the ARC coughed up a few million in loss but the competition would grow and costs could be better managed. But the ARU isn't keen and thus driving the...

    Western Force 2012

Getting a replacement 10 with no top class rugby experience would be pointless. Better off getting another 9 and keeping Stannard as a 10. Perception and reality. Try scoring is not a reflection of stodginess. You can play stodgy rugby and still score plenty of tries. The Waratahs are great...
