NRC Rnd 2: Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

How can you possibly stop support play like that. The instinctive feel for where support is and the skill to execute it. Near unstoppable. Puts the opposition on the back foot which Brisbane cannot recover from Fiji in again. 21 - 0.

NRC Rnd 2: Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

Fijian player slips and give Quade some space. They go close but the Drua defence has been impressive. Hunt repeled with another good shot. Probably the 4th he's copped so far as well.

NRC Rnd 2: Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

Quade's going to be sore tonight. The Drua are shutting down his space pretty effectively so far. Brisbane still look good with ball in hand but it's going to be a long day for the former Wallabies 10. I should note. It's all perfectly legal stuff.

NRC Rnd 2: Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

NEVER. LET. THE. BALL. BOUNCE. Brisbane commit a mortal sin by allowing the ball to bounce and regardless of whether they touched the ball the ref ruled they didn't and they are back in 14 - 0 Drua.

NRC Rnd 2: Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

Drua spend 10 mins defending stoically and as soon as get into Brisbane's 22m they score.

    Rugby 7s general chat

"something is better than nothing." That's the new RA slogan right?

    Rugby 7s general chat

I overlooked that part. However, I'd still like to see this concept repeated in every state followed by a National Championship series rather than a one off weekend.

    Rugby 7s general chat

Good move. Would be great to see the other competition follow suit. Then they could look to select a State team to compete in a national championship that could be used as a direct talent id pathway.

NRC ROUND 2: WESTERN FORCE VS NSW COUNTRY EAGLES

I'm hoping that it will not only be the hill but right around the ground.

NRC ROUND 2: WESTERN FORCE VS NSW COUNTRY EAGLES

UWA fits with the NRC grassroots approach to hosting games. Community and up close and personal.

    For Sale: One Gallagher Premiership!

According to https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/international/106843578/England-rugby-clubs-ponder-540m-offer-for-their-competition the group who owns or owned F1 is now looking at buying England's top flight of the game. The clubs are apparently interested.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

I meant not relying on importing talent from the Islands but setting up local relationships designed to help bring forth local talent.

    NSW teams 2018

    Right. Hadn't seen the article.

    Which one is Folau's brother?

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

I would go with a PI presence but not a complete reliance. You run the risk of missing out on a good deal of local talent if you just recruit from the PI's.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

They did appear to be building something prior to the sale to Eastwood pretty killed that with the Rams becoming more or less a recruitment tool for them. Which is why I wasn't surprised or even all that perturbed by the announcement of the Rams being put to rest. In my mind their fate was...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It would really all come down to what Sth Africa does in the short to medium term. I know the Pro 14 want more SA teams and SA are interested in supplying them. They keep saying it could be in the form of the Griquas and Pumas but I have a hard time seeing Pro 14 being all that willing to accept...

NRC Rnd 1: Fiji Drua vs Melbourne Rising

According to someone who was at the ground they reckon the ground was around 80 - 90% full. Somewhere between 6-7k.

NRC Rnd 1: Brisbane City v Western Force

Should be available via foxsports.com.au in the next day or so.
