Re-reading the interview above, I'd say McKenzie will be the coach. Can I get odds on this somewhere?

    New Jersey for Wallabies

Excellent. When KooGa first got the contract they put up a web page where you could design the jersey. All the options seemed to point towards a conservative design. Good stuff. HOWEVER: http://www.kooga.com.au/proteamreplicas/fiji/index.htm :o

Aus Vs ABs - the battle for the spoon

Judging by their respective scrum's performances, TPN is a better scrummager than Moore, and Franks is a better scrummager than Tialata.

I Need A Hooker Like You Wouldn't Believe...

Yep, Hardman or Freier. Only reasonable options. It almost feels like Deans is under pressure to pick small squads. He keeps leaving himself with precarious cover in some positions.

I Need A Hooker Like You Wouldn't Believe...

So we could be in the situation where a guy is throwing into the lineout in the Bled because he has "good hand-eye coordination." I've got fucking good hand-eye coordination, AND I'm fat, give me a shot.

    Springbokke : Mission Accomplish

That's a good team but I have to disagree about 7. I think - overall - that Smith shades Brussow ahead of McCaw. And as much as I rate Gits at 12, I think you have to give the centres gig to the Saffers.

Argentina invited to join the Trinations

Yessss! :yay I'm jumping up and down. Not literarally, because of the typing, but on the inside. Best thing to happen to SH rugby since the start of the S12 / 3N. I always said - build it and they will come. Give the Argies a place in the competition and the best players will slowly drift back...

    Shute Shield 2009

Re: 2009 Shute Shield Woo hoo. The GaGR official Most Popular Club might soon have a premiership to go with all the good looking private school chicks. The 90s are back again.

Last Appointment: All Blacks in Hamilton

You know Lee, when you said: I had to think WHY? And i wonder if the answer might be Euro dollars? If so, we should be very concerned about in Oz.

McCall rates Knuckles pretty highly, eh? Pretty unprofessional comment. Christ, can you QLDers stage some kind of intervention. Run riot. Hold a seance. Do something - your admin is a complete joke.

Re: The Rugby Club Rumour Have you guys ever had someone put in your job had to work for them? Well, no, me neither, but I imagine that it would suck.

Paarl - one more game THEN relax. You can't bludge in the 3N.

PdV: The World is Against US (including the IRB)

Bringing the game into disrepute? Rugby has had some odd coaches before but PdV takes it to a new level.

    I'm confused, isn't Adam Thomson a lock?

Stade Français : Ewen McKenzie sacked !

Adding to my comment above, it is quite possible that we will be looking for several coaches. Only Friend is secure. Mitchell, Mooney, Hickey all in danger. Might have up to 4 new coaches for 2011.

PdV: The World is Against US (including the IRB)

He has a fairly severe personality disorder. But it does add to the evidence that good teams don't need coaches, like Warnie says. The Springboks have never played better and I am convinved it has nothing to do with PdV. The Brumbies won a S12 with the coach on the outer. The Waratahs had their...

Stade Français : Ewen McKenzie sacked !

I just had a horrible though about S15 coaching. Matt Will ... [shudders] ... Matt Williams. It's been a couple of years. He is about due to be sacked.

Wallaby Bok Brizzy Post-Match post here

Agreed. On the halfback thing, this is my understanding, although I don't have the data to hand. It was always a grey area, almost an "understood" aspect of the game that you don't grab the halfback. Then players started doing it and they (the refs, the iRB) couldn't find any rule against it...
