    2020 crowds and ratings

Watched on Foxtel Now with son. Wife and daughter had it going on 10 in another room. 10 was more than a minute in advance of Fox. Had to ask the ladies to keep the cheering and groaning quiet.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

If there's any doubt at all about his fitness, it is a bigger risk to have him on the bench rather than starting.

Matty looked pretty groggy after one of his trademark hits. Didn't have a head check, but will be interesting if he's not fit for next week.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

KOB, Noah certainly played 12 to Harrison at 10 in the U20s, but since has established himself as the No 1 prospect for the 10 spot. It might change in future, but more chance based on what we've seen of them so far that Noah will remain at 10. On the question of 12, I would be much happier...

New Zealand vs Australia Oct 11 2020 Bledisloe Cup

Fabulous game by the Wallabies and great to hold the ABs to a draw. Along with others, I thought at the end the Darkness were kept in the game by the officiating. Every Wallaby played with distinction and there was a really noticeable step up from their performances in recent years. My only...

If you're looking for steals/disruptions then Liam Wright is your man for future tests. Pity he plays 7.;)

Best hit on Moanga was by To'omua. Paisami was solid, made few if any errors but didn't really test the defense at all. Petaia at 133 next week forme.

New Zealand vs Australia Oct 11 2020 Bledisloe Cup

On form, Silver, you'd almost say HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) should have had the bench over Sio. But form is a very indefinite thing. Is form at test match level better than form at Super Rugby level? Is a player coming back into form from injury judged by his form in recovefry or by what he has shown at the relevant level. Is...

New Zealand vs Australia Oct 11 2020 Bledisloe Cup

The no brainer was that both would be in the test squad. Sio was returning from injury early in the season but has been stronger as the year progressed. He more recently has been especially strong with his ball carrying. His issue has been in the scrum where he was being penalised for pulling...

Hopefully you're right about Paisami, but he's up against probably the best attacking player in the ABs. Will be a baptism of fire for Hunter.

And if that's the case, it won't matter whether it's Koroibete/Daugunu or JOC (James O'Connor) under the high ball JBar will beat them all.

That's true, so long as he stays on side.

    Western Force 2021

McGregor was rated more highly than Maddocks by some here during the U20s a couple of years ago. Never saw it myself. I thought Maddocks was a standout then and am confident he will make it as a Wallaby No 15. I am not confident McGregor will reach that level.

Happened to me too. Threat of immediate arrest and all.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Not being a Western genre fan, I found Yellowstone to be very watchable. Enjoyed S1 and looking forward to watching S2. Surprising aspect to me was the almost total neglect of the law by the ranchers in a modern setting.

    Wallabies 2020

That's one of the more impressive efforts I've seen from our resident selectors so far. Personally, I would still have Ala'alatoa in the starting No 3 with Tupou on at halftime. The benefit of AAA's solid play is best felt at the beginning of a game while the tearaway element in Tupou will be...

Probably doesn't need to be pointed out but all of Noah's form is from this year, ZC.

    Wallabies 2020

I reckon we'll just have to wait to see how both of Banks and Maddocks pan out over the rest of the year and into next. I will be happy to go with whoever develops the best. On Tom Wright, I think it is more likely we'll see him closer to the action than at fullback in time. No 12 could be his...
