    Waratahs vs Reds - R3 2014

SFS is a shocking stadium to get to and get home from. Even when I lived in the very inner west I hated getting there and found it actually easier to get to and from Homebush. It's fine having the busway nearby, but actually loading and unloading the buses and getting them in and out is a...

    NZ Match Reports

I enjoyed the game. Plenty of skills and fast ball movement. Nothing like a try off the kick-off from your previous try to man shame your opponents who, until then, had been dominating the game.

    Waratahs - Positivity thread

Personally, I will be walking to Homebush. In my Reds polo. Just hope it's not raining; this current weather is miserable.

    Force v. Brumbies - R3 2014

Yeah, I have a few questions about Wykes ahead of Steenkamp, Rasolea and Delitt ahead of other players - like Hayward. I always thought Stanley was a better centre than Stubbs or Rasolea, but he wasn't used correctly. Not that it matters - they aren't using Rasolea well either. Rasolea is a...

Reds, Rebels & Waratahs consider merging operations

Agree about the Reds - I can't imagine the Waratahs board would want to give up control (or the Rebels or Reds, really), and I can't imagine the ARU would want the three (or four or five) enterprises run from Brisbane when the ARU head office is in Sydney. I can't see how the Reds could win...

    Waratahs vs Reds - R3 2014

Actually, I thought that Taps was faster than Ant. Ant isn't fast by any stretch, I thought. Taps has a bit of acceleration and a step.

    Force v. Brumbies - R3 2014

I was wondering the same thing about McCabe. If the midfield struggles again, how much longer are they willing to persist with him at 12?

Reds, Rebels & Waratahs consider merging operations

I can't imagine any of the unions would be willing to cede any power they have, particularly the NSWRU who would be seeming to lose power to the QRU as Jim Carmichael would be the likely head. Although I wouldn't rule out a late Tahs attempt to make Jason Allen the CEO, if it happened.

Apologies for obviously derailing the vigorous Tahs discussions gentlemen. As you were. Excuse the crickets.

    Waratahs 2014

Apologies for the digression: My following issues with Foxtel Go and the Samsung Foxtel Play app are: - channel drops out every now and again - I have to change channels to another then back to get it back - slow to pick up channels when you change, particularly on the Samsung Foxtel Play app...

    Waratahs 2014

I do the same. Also allows you to watch online - I also use my iPad and Foxtel Go. For the record, Foxtel Go is a shit, shit app.

    Reds 2014

That first try though reminded me of Herbert's try in the 2001 Lions test, I think it was the third one.

    Waratahs 2014

I think they've ceded and a sports only package is coming, from what I've seen. Not sure if they have an iQHD one. Foxtel are still locked in an old world TV mentality. The only thing that works with that is sport. They are slowly being dragged towards the 21st century with their catchup...

    Reds 2014

To digress briefly to the Tahs, I thought their major flaw last week was a lack of patience. They tried to force (haha! geddit?) passes that were not on too early, including one that led to Godwin's try. Using their big forward pack to rumble up a few channels wide of the ruck then spread...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Pissing in hotel corridors? Child's play. Just ask Julian O'Neil and Nate Myles.

Well, I would've grabbed the original picture pre-photoshop off the web to paste, but twitter is blocked at work!

    Waratahs vs Reds - R3 2014

Here's a picture of the dog: What do you think it is, blue heeler or red heeler? Yes, even a Queenslander can spot the difference, but obviously such simple abilities are above certain New South Welshmen!

    Waratahs vs Reds - R3 2014

I think that Potgieter for Skelton strengthens that Tahs starting side. Skelton is a big boy and they used him fairly well, but by about the 20 - 25 minute stage I suspect he could be a liability if he can be caught midfield in defence - he is like another prop with his mobility. You can see...
