Exactly couple that with Valentni making the move to Canberra. While I think the decision to walk out was poor on Maddoks park it’s a clear sign that what we are doing as a club isn’t working.

We need to win to keep players around giving a handful of players an extra 50-100k for one season isn’t going to make them stay. We have lost one of our best backs and are unable to replace him due to how late it has been done and that will hurt us on field. If we don’t win games players will...

They will probably regret just letting him go when they get relegated. He didn’t seem to concerned about playing at the World Cup when he resigned in 2018. Not a fan of it either way really. Maddocks is our best backline prospect, it’s like the Lions in the AFL until we stop these blokes...

Never supported the ARU closing the Force, always was of the belief that we should of stayed at 5 teams. Just because they have been shut down doesn’t mean we have to feel guilty about it. Leicester had to make a decision on To'omua I wouldn’t of held it against them in the slightest if they...

Hahahahaha, so Arrow is what just meant to let his misses move? Him wanting to be with her isn’t legitimate but Maddoks is. Good one.

Yeah because cap space this late in the piece when you’re not going to be able to recruit anyone to the end of the European season making them ineligible for finals if we are able to make it is such a win. So glad for that cap space, as to the money it will be an insignificant amount

Hang on Arrow is moving because his misses can advance her career by getting to Sydney and one of Maddocks “personal reasons” is to be closer to his girlfriend. Seems like a double standard

Clubs also hold on to player Jai Arrow being the latest example of that. Also freeing up space is so useful this late in the piece as there is an abundance of players looking to move that we could now sign

Read the fox rugby one so didn’t see that. That just furthers my point of needing a transfer window. Either way we shouldn’t of been releasing him we get nothing for it. You don’t let the tail wag the dog

Ultimately that’s because people support a club and not a player but that also doesn’t stop many from being critical of clubs for making those moves as they see how it can be detrimental to the culture and create and environment that players don’t want to be a part of

No where in the article does it say how long it’s been discussed apart from “for a while now” also it doesn’t say when he informed his current club and normally for any manager that will be the last club they tell in case the deal can’t get done. Also the deal does not benefit us. I do think...

No matter what level of sport you play it’s an honour and a privilege to wear that clubs jersey.

    Rebels 2020

Not a month out and they only trade a player if it’s mutual beneficial
  14. Rebel man

    Rebels 2020

Because the signed a contract honour it, it’s not hard. AFL clubs block players moving when they are in contract.
  15. Rebel man

    Rebels 2020

Hold him to the final year of his deal then let him go. Don’t let him dictate he wants to go a month out, it’s not up to the club to accommodate him.
  16. Rebel man

    Rebels 2020

No it’s not the culture needs to change nobody is bigger to than the club they play for. If players are not willing to buy into that they are not worth keeping around
  17. Rebel man

    Rebels 2020

Big difference between discussing the possibility of leaving and requesting a transfer. They should of held him to his contract, easy to blame others when things go wrong.
  18. Rebel man

    Rebels 2020

Either way it reflects poorly on him. Ask for a transfer in September that’s fine but do it when both sides are already preparing for the season is poor form from him

    Rebels 2020

That’s it have some integrity, I would be dirty on him if I was a Tahs player imagine doing all of the pre season then having someone come in and take your spot.

Think both clubs would of been keen to get it done quickly so most likely the request was made recently
