    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Yeah, on reflection we were down to 14 men for 18 minutes of the game and they couldn't score a try. I'm still pretty worried about Wales. For some reason, they are the team I want to beat the most on this tour.

England v All Blacks, Twickers, 17 November 2013

It was the dry delivery from HJ. Sucked me right in.

Surprised to read Beale's name in this thread looking to the future. Looking at our current back line he wouldn't get a start anywhere. Bench injury cover would be about his lot these days. But I never want to see him in 10 for gold again.

I like Beaver (can you believe his nickname isn't duck?). But despite his World Cup heroics most kiwis are suss on him. Doubt he will ever be first choice starting 10 for the AB's with Barrett, Taylor and Sopoaga comeing along nicely. But having posted the above it now comes to me you may be...

The problem with McCaw now is that he isn't quick enough to play the traditional 7 role. He can't get to the rucks quick enough like he used to effect the steals. But his linking role and all around work is so good you can't discard him. He should actually be playing 6 now, but your 6's are so...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

If Pocock comes back in the form he was before injury, I'm not thinking it's much of a dilemma.

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

If Kurdirani goes then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to 13. Tomane to the wing. Be happy to start with the same team as this week but clear the bench at 40 minutes if everything is going well.

I thought the ref got a few wrong, but it was pretty even both ways so no harm. To'omua was my MOTM. Just so hungry for work in defence and attack. Israel to stay 15. Why stuff with a good thing.

Better than 1:30am Western time. I'm trying to decide which is the lesser of two evils, stay up or get up for it.

This is the perfect game to start Gill. Hooper needs a rest and soon. I'd imagine Cheiks would appreciate it.

    S18 on its way

The only solution I can see is it becomes S16 and everyone plays everyone else once. That would actually be my preferred model. I think super rugbys point of difference is the international flavour and the number of derbys in the current format dilute that. June test need to be moved and if...

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

I think there is scope to be unhappy based on how we won. We know that our back line on their day can put anyone bar probably NZ away. But the forward performance was only just adequate, which is where we have been losing badly recently. Watching the SA/Wales game only rammed home how badly we...

    1. Robinson 2. Moore 3. Slipper 4. Simmons 5. Douglas 6. Fardy 7. Gill 8. Mowen (c) 9. White 10. Cooper 11. Cummins 12. To'omua 13. Kuridrani 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Folau I actually thought he looked like he had been on the pies.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Disagree. It's an Australian tendency to back the underdog. Cummins hasn't got the silky skills, all he has is gut busting tenacity and a love for the Australian jersey. I actually think there are many put off by his ockersim's. If he was Larkhamesque in his personality there may be a few more...

So if Fardys back does he play 7 next week? Go for a proper 4 lock second row? Credit to Ewen, Simmons packing at 6 was a success.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Replay shows no obstruction from Aus on the AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) try. Italian defender took the wrong option and followed Kurindrani past him to open up the hole.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

You aren't giving Italy enough credit. They strung together phase after phase without making an error. That pressure will always tell. Aus would have knocked on before they could string that many phases together near the line.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Forwards were good, but our backs and Italy's poor defence won that for us. It wasn't a traditional grinding win off the back of a dominant pack. Forwards still need to lift to beat the tier 1 sides to come.
  19. ChargerWA

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

    Full time. 20-50 Aus.
