VRU Dewar Shield 2016 - and other comps

    Bit late notice.

    2017 Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

I'm gonna post this here. This is not about Scotland, the only reason it is Scotland is because it's the first Nation I've personally seen drop a list of fixtures like this. This is to continually highlight that we/you guys are at a somewhat significant disadvantage in the Rugby Calendar...

VRU Dewar Shield 2016 - and other comps

Games in which the ineligible player played are retrospectively considered 5 point forfeits and someones done that analysis based on the games played? Or he's pulling it out his ass and didn't check the table. Or something inbetween.

VRU Dewar Shield 2016 - and other comps

Don't think there's exemptions. 2ish Years ago, Pat played the last 2 or 3 games for Box Hill but needed to play 4 to be eligible for finals.

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

Is it a Quad Series? That was rumoured at some point, a la South Africa last year.

    Melbourne Rising Season 2016

It's no shame to not manage to hold down a starters spot at Edinburgh. It's one of the best packs in the pro12. And the locks themselves, Ben has exposed more of his talent, Grant Gilchrist was named Scotland Captain in 2014 before suffering a series of injuries, and was still calling lineouts...

    Rebels 2017

By my count that's 30 players signed for next year. Mikey Mike, Thommo, Luke, Tamati, Fugs, Murphy, Hawkins and Kotaro won't be back next year, from what we've seen. By my count that leaves Moloney, Metch, Cocker, Fox, Snowden, Dom, Crawf and Asquith in Limbo. If Hagan gets his mutual release...

Quarter Finals : NZ vs SA teams

Born in Edinburgh, parents moved to London for career opportunities, then he did the same in moving to South Africa for Uni. Thats about as Scottish as you can get, unless you grew up in bumfuck nowherw borders or highlands or Castlemilk.

    Rebels 2017

Difficult to say, primarily because of the twin aspect, i.e. every comment that gets made about them is in relation to the other Twin. Ben is without a doubt the more talented of the pair, that's why he's first choice alongside Grant Gilchrist, and Alex was kept outside the best 23 by former...

    Reds 2017

Think Toony has the inside running on that one WOB.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Here's something else I think is maybe worth considering, not for 2016, but later. In Non-Olympic years now, there will be no Overlap between the international Sevens Season and the NRC Season. Should the ARU be allocating the Sevens players into NRC squads? And to a lesser extent, should...

    NRC onwards and upwards

You can add Tom Moloney to the list Reg, he played 3? Games for the Rebels after playing 5 or so Games for the Rising last year.

    The Wallabies Thread

Kaino for the blues, Messam for the Chiefs and Vito for the Canes all regularly played 8, but all played 2nd fiddle to Read and ended up at 6 time and time again. Obviously 8->6 is a little bit different than 7->8, but the principle largely seems the same, if the Backrow remains complementary...

    The Wallabies Thread

Don't worry, Rob Leota will be the Wobblies number 8 before too long, see unlike NSW and Patrick Sio, we sign our big powerful number 8s.

    Rio Olympics

Men's Squad Mark Bennett (Glasgow Warriors) Dan Bibby (England Sevens) Phil Burgess (England Sevens) Sam Cross (Wales Sevens) Alex Davis (England Sevens) James Davies (Scarlets) Ollie Lindsay Hague (Harlequins) Tom Mitchell (England Sevens) C Dan Norton (England Sevens) James Rodwell...

    Melbourne Rising Season 2016

:( It was nice to stand out. Very few teams at this level or higher wear pink, and the design was pretty nice too. What can you do though I guess. It does make sense from a branding and emphasising the closeness of the teams/squads perspective.

    2017 Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Brumbies have signed 2 boys straight out from school, or something, one of their natives, and our Bopper, Valenti. Also think Trevor Hosea (not so little brother of last years captain Ta, 203cm lock, ) has signed some sort of Partnership contract with the Rebels. I don't normally track current...

Reds v Rebels - Battle of Pride - Friday the 15th of July

I'll give it a go to get this one and that one when I get back Rugby's been the only thing I've been missing out on since the last international weekend. I'm hankering for some, can't wait till Dewar Shield finals.

Reds v Rebels - Battle of Pride - Friday the 15th of July

Missed out on the game, as I have for the last 2 weeks, naebody here has the sports going on. Is any of it worth watching when I get back Monday week, or is it the cripple fight we all expected? I know the last 2 aren't worth trying to find.
