There is talk of a 7's Series being run next summer. It would take in the existing tournaments and points would be allocated for results like the IRB 7's series. I see quite a bit of merit in it as it wouldn't cost to much to set up and it would probably make some of the tournaments more viable...

Rugby is very different to swimming. Swimming is all about being the fastest but in rugby Clyde can use his smarts and power to deal with others who are quicker than him. He also seems to have a great temperament and would be a great person to have around the team.

I watched it today and thought it was really weird. Better just to have a face to face rather than pretend like they are waiting for a bus.

Played for Sunnybank in 2010 from memory. Good to see him back in Brisbane.

I think rugby is better suited to have a business person as CEO rather than a sports administrator. JON had a banking background and made a successful transition. It would help if they had an interest in rugby too but that wouldn't necessarily be essential.

I like the team apart from Samo and Timani on the bench. I think they can cover the same sort of thing and it would be better to have a speedster on the bench.

He was great the the U16's champs a few years back. Has all the makings of a good outside back but the injuries seem to be a worry.

Going by the standards set around here Butler couldn't really be seen as a player Easts developed. He was selected in the Academy from the GC and moved to Easts to be closer for training.

Played at Byron but didn't progress into the cup playoffs. Not sure where they finished. Who's coaching them and who's in the squad ECA?

Apparently Taumata might still be in the ARU group. Danny Routledge is training in the "Reds Academy" though.

I think Greg Holmes offers more than Daley. He has lifted his work rate around the field and is better at scrum time. He should be in the Wallabies but Deans seems to have an issue with him.

He could be a bit shorter. I have only seen him on the field so it's hard to tell sometimes.

Anyone know of any coaching changes for next year? I would have thought most teams would keep their coaches as there were a lot of new ones this year and you'd expect them to give them more than a year to make a major difference.
