Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

I think Mitchell's selection is down to Deans thinking "this guy can score tries, we need to score more tries, I must pick him." I'm a big fan of Drew's and hope that he can get the ball in space and show off his skills. I also think that Tap's will be a great weapon against the Italians. His...

ARU contracting process - how could it be improved?

The current system isn't that bad. Players have a base guaranteed income plus they receive match payments for being selected in the test. Players also get a living away from home allowance while they are away. This way it rewards players who are being selected. For this tour I think the players...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

If he's playing it would be great to see him run out for Wests. He's recovering from a knee recon IIRC.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Played a Uni when he was here last. Not sure they will be throwing around the same amount of cash as they did back then no though.

Ewen McKenzie labels the ARU contracting process as 'Frustrating, Difficult'

I love that people want Quade to be a risk taker on the field but off it be a really conservative guy. It just doesn't happen. He tries the unconventional on the field and will continue to do the same off it.

Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

It seems to me that Pocock should have been left at home to get ready for 2013. It's not like we are in a desperate position of needing a 7. Hooper has been great and Gill good in his involvement so far. I guess hindsight is great and the fact that it's a new injury keeping him from playing but...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Why? It's not like Premier Grade is exploding in talent. Also it would extend the season by at least 2 weeks and would create bye's for teams. I thing consolidation is the most important thing at the moment. Wests and Souths made up some good ground this year on the field, Norths had some good...

    Reds 2013

If they go for a 4/3 split he'd be on the bench but if it's 5/2 he might struggle, at least to start.

    Reds 2013

Lucas and Lance have to be the 10 options without Cooper. Taps and Harris will fight over the 12 spot as Harris isn't suited anywhere else. Taps and Fainga'a will be the 13 options if Harris plays 12. Morahan at 15 as he suits the style I want the Reds to play.

Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

I think the Wallabies need to pick their best 15 for every test. It's not like we are the AB's who can change their team each week and still smash the opposition. We struggle to beat teams when we pick the same guys each week. I don't see the logic in resting young guys who have been playing...

Wallabies vs Italy - 25th Nov

My Team for this game 1, Robbo 2, Moore 3, Alexander 4, Timani 5, Sharpe 6, Higgers 7, Hooper 8, Palu 9, Sheehan - Phipps had a good run to set up the try but his passing is still very poor 10, Beale 11, Ioane 12, Tapuai 13, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14, Cummins 15, Barnes 16, Hanson - TPN needs a break - lying...

Quade telling it how it is

That was his brother Scott. A great player but not an AB style player. Used to be very entertaining on the Rugby Roundtable podcast.

Quade telling it how it is

They changed that rule a while ago Hugh. Once you have played Test rugby, Sevens or National A level you can't play for another country.

Quade telling it how it is

Or if they want to be petty the QRU could say to the ARU we wont vote for the governance reform unless you make an offer that Quade is happy with before the vote. Blackmail can work both ways. I doubt it would come to this as the Governance reform is essential for the future of the game. Also...

Quade telling it how it is

Didn't Weidler report a while ago that Deans was gone? His credibility has to be questioned. I recon it's being put out by Coopers camp to build up hype for a boxing match and he will continue to negotiate with the ARU. It's a classic Koder Nasser move.

Quade telling it how it is

Weidler tweeted that he's going to box.

Quade telling it how it is

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Wilder is the only one who has broken the story with all other news reports stating according to channel 9. Until there is a quote from an official source I'm going to keep my head in the sand and pretend like none of this is happening.

    Australia v England @ Twickers 17 Nov 2012

It was the best game Australia have played all year in my eyes. Still a few issues that I have but I'm very happy for the team. Our scrum was really good. I thought we were lucky a few times but it was off the back of some good work that the luck came our way. We need to build on this especially...

    Kooga now BLK?

It's owned in Australia under a licence from the UK company. The SeVIIn brand is targeted solely at the 7's market and is probably due in part to not owning the Kooga brand internationally. Now that Kooga Aust is a successful business they probably want to own their brand internationally.
