Don’t agree. He was mostly rubbish for the Wallabies. But very good at the WC.

I know Latu was good at the WC but otherwise he was pretty inconsistent and was quite crap for most of his career. I guess he’s better than Nasser, but the appeal is kinda lost on me. Very much rocks & diamonds, but far more rocks. I’d rather we pass.

I did look the board composition myself a couple of days ago. My first though was that as a President, Al Baxter appears to make a good prop forward. Which is kinda ironic.

    Unfortunately yes

I am a bit lost on what they are doing with Stewart. It seems to me that when Paisami is playing 12 he is used as an extra playmaker. But when Stewart played 12 he wasn’t - even though it’s a role he’s well suited to and has done in the past. Will be interested how they line up this week and...

    Waratahs 2021

People are talking or looking week to week improvement while the roster is going backwards. Plus, in the game you talk about they lost Gordon & Walton to injury during the game, were missing Swinton and lost Perese to a red. Plus had another yellow if I recall correctly. I actually think your...

And based on the comments in his press conference after the game he definitely didn’t get the squad he wants.

    Waratahs 2021

For significant portions Penney has been missing Gordon, Walton, Perese & Bell. Also missed Dempsey & Swinton on the weekend and lost both starting locks inside 20 minutes. Injuries will always happen - but when you’re already starting out behind all the other teams in terms of talent and you...

I would have liked to see Blyth selected. I feel he’s been good last year and this one - but I don’t think he’s been grossly short-changed.

I can only agree with what has been written already. Davis & the Board should be sacked.

    Wallabies 2021

I agree on Swain deserving his place. In any squad there are always a few lucky & unlucky selections, but I don’t see much in the way of controversy. The only one I think is probably a bit questionable is Nasirani who seems to have improved his selection prospects by being injured. Lee-Warner...

    Wallabies 2021

The squad seems a pretty fair reflection of form to me with an eye to the future as advised. BPA omission fair enough when he can’t be picked going forward. Fainga'a & Uelese both possibly a bit unlucky - but it isn’t a final squad and it’s not like they haven’t been given an opportunity.

I thought I read Hanigan was coming back too. Add those three + a good THL, THP and another hard running inside back to free up Perese and the Tahs will be a different proposition.

    Rebels 2021

That’s ok. I was too. I understand the sentiment. As far as I am aware no one from the Reds has raised any objections to the almost certainty that they are going to have to change plans due to the COVID risk and I note that the are staying put in Sydney for now.

You get a 28 - 0 win because the Brisbane Lions are concerned about being away from their families?

    Wallabies 2021

I think so - but not 100% sure. Personally I’d only add Phillips & Hooper. I think the emergence of Uru & the improvement of FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) & Valetini gives us enough cattle in form in the back row.

    Wallabies 2021

I assume he won’t, as it’s my understanding that this is a squad who is getting together for some prep work, but I also assume he, Hooper and possibly Hanigan remain in the selectors consideration.

Listened to the press conference and, for me personally, I liked what Thorn was saying. Basically he was pleased with the win, thought that there were plenty of good things but that he was frustrated with the poor ball control and the poor discipline. Penney very much reflected the thoughts...
