Force v Waratahs Friday April 13th

I think it would realy suck to drop Dennis for Rocky. Dave has been oustanding this year and needs to be in the starting 15. I am sure the Rebels would see it differently though. Tahs did a good job of shutting the Force backrow down and I still like the way Tom Carter is using an expanded...

    Byrnes gets 10 Weeks

This is a tough one. Both sides of the argument are valid. I can understand somebody being upset if accused of such a foul offence then found innocent. Mud does stick sadly. Just as important, such accusations need to be reported and tested by authorities. What I find of concern is the...

QRU: $2m Surplus for 2011: ARU Repaid 2 Years Early

Well done Reds. I hope they go hard putting the benifits to work at the grass roots level all over the state. This should serve as a guide to rugby administration Australia wide. The game needs fresh thoughts at the admin level and people from outside rugby's traditional base should be...

    Reds v Stormers - Super Rugby Round 9, 2012

    Cheers Paarl.

S15R8 Crusaders vs Stormers @ New Christchurch Stadium, Christchurch

Tough one this one for your lot Paarl. Saders just have that abillity to front up and they will have done their homework after your Highlanders game. I think they will match you up front and you will have to play a bit wider. I think the Stormers are an even chance though. They look bloody...

    Reds v Stormers - Super Rugby Round 9, 2012

Just watched the stormers vs the Clan. I can't recall a side man handling the Clan like that. This Stormers side is the real deal this year. We need to be patient with this one and if we are to win it will be at the back end of the game. Our other big question is the bench configeration...

    The Reds run in April

I felt a bit sorry for Will last year. He had a bad case of the second year syndrome. Well he leaves the Reds with a proper premeirship medal unlike that token gesture he got with the Storm.

Force v Waratahs Friday April 13th

I never new it was the Forces job to preserve the conference. I was under the impretion that it was their job to win the game.

    Rugby - not set pieces

Cheers for these Lee. They make for a good lite hearted read and a big thanks for the effort.

    Reds v Stormers - Super Rugby Round 9, 2012

Not the Game to rest Horwill. I am thinking Samo to 8, higgers back to six and Beau at seven. Samo to empty the tank and then unleash the two sevens on the Stormers in the second half. Holmes to start and Daley to come on later in the game. Say what you want about Daley but he is like having...

    The Reds run in April

I want Lucas back at ten when he returns. Lane was god on the weekend but under the control of Lucas at 10 in the first half of that game, the Reds looked most composed. His control there effected Genia by allowing to focus on his job. Waterboy Cooper had a large effect on Lane's game vs the...

    Reds v Stormers - Super Rugby Round 9, 2012

Our quickness will be the key in this game. We have our forward options for this game and we need to work on tiring the big stormers forwards with pace then picking them off later in the game. We need to get our shit together at lineout time for this one.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

Three options here. We can select on form, select on combinations and last of all select on man love. Given the structure of the test series we would be wise to select on combinations but personally I would select on form. 1/ Robinson 2/ Moore 3/ Palmer/Slipper 4/ Pyle 5/ Horwill 6/ Higgers 7/...

    Wallabies 2012

The thought of selecting AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13 just does not stack up. I can honestly put aside any Reds bias and say that Taps must be the front runner. He is playng in that position currently and is playing well. A bit of a smokey could also be Andrew Smith.

Rugby Players that started in Soccer (ahem Association Football)

I think Horwill was another late bloomer and played ausie rules before that.

    Wallabies 2012

The winger who is staking the biggest claim is Dom Shipperly. I am not saying he should be rushed into the starting 15 but if he keeps going the way he is he at least should make it into camp to stake a claim further from there.

    Wallabies 2012

I don't have the answer but surely it is either him or Delve.

Reds v. Force Super Rugby Round 6 2012

Things wont happen overnight with Quade. I would prefer some premier grade and a return for the bench in getting him back.

    Wallabies 2012

I like the thought of a Horwill and Pyle locking combination. Our front row options are looking healthy with players from all five franchises putting their hands up to be noticed. I think Charles is ready to be blooded as Moore's backup. They are by far the form hookers in our stable...

    Wallabies 2012

I don't blame people getting excited over Hooper. In all fairness people had Gill lined up for a Wallaby jersey well before time. Hodgson is probably the most deserving but I think we need to move on and run a young gun.
