    Where to for Super Rugby?

Lions tour in 2017 isn't run by SANZAR

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Geez guys - these media releases and massive numbers (eg $30m losses) are nothing more than NZRU trying to pressure the rest of the world in to accepting the World League so they can make even more money on the back of the All Blacks brand The NZRU have net assets of $100m. They can easily...

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Georgina Robson reporting that the Tahs normally get 5000 members (SCG members I guess?) and they got nowhere near that on Saturday night.

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Be a bit careful comparing STV and FTA ratings - they aren't really the same thing. The ratings on 10 Bold for A-League are pretty disastrous, but the ones we've seen are above that Shute Shield number (with all the obvious Sydney & prime time caveats). Over summer they were around 70k. Down...

Asia Pacific Dragons v South China Tigers - Queenstown, Singapore - 28 April 2019

I suspect they are looking more at a English Premiership or Top 14 model rather than one where a Union is responsible for finances

    Waratahs 2019

Is Mason really still plan A for next year? 23 years old and he can't even get on the field at the moment. Is he still on contract for next year?

Watching scrum resets at the SCG is the exact opposite of everything GRR should be aiming for

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I'm worried about defusing box kicks way before returning the ball with any interest. We all remember the pre-izzy horror shows right?

    Refereeing decisions

Just had a quick law check, and the requirement for the player to come through the gate is only there before they attempt to play the ball. In this case 23 never even attempts to do that and is way in front of the tackle so I reckon he is just plain old obstructing and/or offside. Having said...

    Refereeing decisions

Laws of rugby give no guidance on when a ruck is over other than the ball is out when it's out. So halfbacks are technically illegal at every ruck.

    Refereeing decisions

There's that, and in addition the tackled player releases the ball, and then picks it up and passes it to McDermott while on the ground. Can't have two bites at that cherry

    Refereeing decisions

Reds score at 58mins to take a two try lead over the Sharks. If you're the ref, do you have an issue with any of this? I'd be tempted to blow a penalty against Qld. from 1:00 at the YouTube link

Gabba is a sellout for Lions v Pies tonight. 42,000 Sure would be nice to get on a Reds bandwagon again one day. :-(

Sounds like they need to get a hatchet man in to make the hard decisions and reign those out of control costs

    Reds 2019

Not resting Kerevi for this game is bizarre. Means they are going to have to do it for one of 4 very winnable home games, or against or inter-conferance rivals, or against the chiefs. This is the least visible, and least winnable game they have left
