    Waratahs 2017

Hegarty signed on for another year with you blokes: http://www.waratahs.com.au/Waratahs/News/NewsArticle/tabid/157/ArticleID/17308/NSW-Waratahs-add-to-2017-stocks-with-Bryce-Hegarty-re-signing.aspx Obviously he's not Beale level, but it's great to see him still in Australian Rugby.

NRC Rnd 2: Canberra Vikings v NSW Country Eagles

Not sure anybody has necessarily written him off Hawko. Standard wisdom has seemed to suggest that the loosehead position isn't as much of a problem as tighthead , between Slipper (27) and Sio (24) as the first string pair, with Toby Smith (27) as backup and Ala'alatoa (22) as the potential...

    How to fix the wallabies

Without derailing the Thread, our Board have been good in recent years. Establishing the academies, BT top to bottom sponsorship, sacraficing our guaranteed 2nd Champions Cup spot for a better share of revenue. Made some tough decisions too, selling off a few good players in Tonks, Denton and...

    The Wallabies Thread

Did specify "in the NRC" ;) Powell is probably first off the rank behind Phipps and Frisby, but little red is certainly talented enough to be a Wallaby, and with a little bit of form and a little bit of luck, that could be during the Winter tours.

    The Wallabies Thread

Not sure they'd select Genia utr. He'll probably be unavailable for the Wales and England games, and presumably any non-tests too, given they'll fall outside 3 the mandatory release period. Would provide Powell and Stirzaker a good opportunity in the NRC to compete for that final spot. Or even...

    How to fix the wallabies

You say the UK. We (Scotland) royally stuffed up the transition to professionalism, and survived on Murrayfield's equity, which we'd also fucked up by redeveloping ourselves before heavy Government investment became the standard. London Welsh is on the brink of financial disaster after that...

    The Wallabies Thread

There's supposed to be two tour games as well as the Tests, according to some articles. Particularly if it's an inflated squad going to Europe, they'd be a good opportunity to get back into it.

    Rebels 2017

Are there two tour games as well? They keep saying 5 Test, 7 game tour.

    Melbourne Rising Season 2016

https://melbournerebels.com/2016/09/06/wilson-medic-one-injury-report-round-2-v-queensland-country/ Here we go, this is what I'm looking for: Melbourne Rising injury update following Round 2 v Queensland Country brought to you by Wilson Medic One: Jonah Placid (head): Test Dom Shipperley...

    Western Force 2017

Volavola is pointless- Capped by Fiji. Do make a good point otherwise. Sam Johnson for example is another one who would be a good one to bring back. Is someone who's a bit between a Tapuai and an Inman, wouldn't be a bad option for the Rebels or the Force, maybe even someone else depending on...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Playing for Lyon, having signed there ~7 months ago. 80 minutes at fly half the weekend just gone, 65ish minutes at 13 the one before. If he hadn't injured himself, we might have gotten to see him at 12 in the June series, then he might have made himself available for now rather than going...

    Ideas for NRC

There are a few holdovers from an amateur era. "A" teams are one of them. Tours are another. BILs are another. A growing minority believe the latter now simply exist to prop up the Southern Hemisphere Unions. A different group think the domestic tour games are nonsense, and would be better...

    Ideas for NRC

Also the unnecessary risk of injury that comes with an exhibition game in a contact sport, particularly one with little or no commercial interest. That fact always annoys me. Stupid Cricket and it's ability to have Australia A playing in a Quadrangular series with a Development Side.

    Melbourne Rising Season 2016

As I said on the Match thread, I'd be hoping more for a Laidlaw stuck behind Blair Scenario.

    Ideas for NRC

I'd hope it would more or less be a domestic international side a la the USA and Canada in the Americas 6 Nations. Frightening prospect for the NRC sides, but potentially very valuable experience for the players individually.

NRC Rnd 2: Melbourne Rising vs Queensland Country

Without having seen this game, Bip at 10 could be good for him IMO. An extended period of time at 10 behind Mike Blair turned Laidlaw from a reasonable reserve scrum half into a regular International, first as the last man standing at fly half, then as the first string scrummie and Captain...

NRC Rnd 2: Melbourne Rising vs Queensland Country

Sounds like a fairly pathetic performance given the quality available.

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Heck no. Taylor is Toonie's man, not Verns.

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

If Chieka goes, (extreme hypothetical, 0 or 1 wins from 6 in the RC, 0 from 3 in the Bledisloe and 0-3 from 5 on the EOYT) Cotter would be a good choice for you guys IMO. We're getting rid of him, yes, but that's much more about moving Toonie into the role rather than moving Cotter out of it...

NRC Rnd 2: Brisbane City v Western Sydney Rams

I think that on a contract that isn't Supplementary or injury cover, Hilterbrand is an International Marquee, having a few USA caps now. Good player, not worth sacraficing the potential to secure a Thomson, Ellison, Cubelli or Potgieter IMO.
