Wallaby Forwards – Stats for TWC

I don't know what to do about this Pusser. The tables look Black and Blue on white on my Laptop and Blackberry.

Wallaby Forwards – Stats for TWC

In the build-up to the RWC this year’s TRC had only 3 games. (TWC???) Michael Cheika has switched and matched more than many pundits expected but not as much as others wanted. It’s pleasing to see that the focus has been on winning Test matches. No Forward has played for the full 240 minutes...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

I'm posting here as can't post pictures on the dashboard article. Ruck Stats for the Wallabies as follows: Remember: Early means 1st or 2nd of player’s team AFTER the ball carrier has been tackled and brought to ground. Impact means active engagement: strong physical contact...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

But he may get it by playing in the NRC and with an ongoing/focused training program. Silly me! I thought National Sporting Teams were usually a compilation of the Best of the Best. The reason why we have qualification competitions and National Championships etc. The Olympics specify a...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

OK So let Skelton be the caller and see how many that he wins in 80 minutes. Fardy wasn't the caller yet won only 3 less than Simmons. In the 2 Tests so far the Line Out results have been: Against Argentina - 9 Won; 1 Lost Against South Africa - 11 Won; 0 Lost 95% success rate isn't...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

For those who think that Simmons will not be missed and when considering who may be able to make a difference in the Line Out for the Wallabies games against the ABs. The contributions in the 2 Tests so far in the TWC: Simmons: (164mins) 11 LOW, 1 LOS (5.8 per 80 mins) Fardy: (132 mins) 8 LOW...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Agree. On 2015 SXV form this group would average 7 LOW per match and a LOS every other match.

Although we've only had 2 Tests in the TWC it's still useful to run a stats comparison between Pocock and Hooper. Numbers have been rounded to whole numbers. Both players have played the same number of minutes - about 1.5 games. Pocock has shown the better running game with more ball...

Springboks v All Blacks, Ellis Park 25/7/2015

An entertaining Test which was worth watching 3 times – once for the enjoyment and twice more to gather the Ruck statistics. The overall stats for each team are fairly even with some noticeable exceptions: · Springboks made the most runs (125:108) but with fewer metres (436:477) ·Springboks...

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

Good to get a win but should have had more points on the board. Too many errors and too many missed tackles. Got the points in the 2nd half with only 31% Possession and 35% Territory. Unfortunately only time for limited commentary. What do others see in these numbers? Comments: The...

All Blacks v Argentina, 17th July, 2015, AMI stadium, Christchurch

Here's the Ruck engagement data for the All Blacks against Argentina last week. I'm struggling to get enough motivation to gather the same for the Pumas. Remember: Early means 1st or 2nd of player’s team AFTER the ball carrier has been tackled and brought to ground. Impact means active...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

I agree that Simmons is much maligned but he is the best Line Out exponent that we have and as such gets a lot of attention from the opposition. That's why Fardy got (and Simmons called) 6 LOW last week. Simmons almost exclusively supports our ball runners in rucks and works in that channel...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Realise that this may be a bit late but may still provide some feedback as to who worked hard at rucks last week. Brisbane Test Rucks – Tale of Two Halves The Wallabies v Springboks Brisbane Test presented different and changing strategies at the breakdown with significant changes after half...

    Western Force 2015

What matters is people posting untruths about a professional athlete who is recognised as such by seemingly most people who know him.

    Western Force 2015

I suggest that this observation was BEFORE he made the Wallabies in 2009 (so more than 6 years ago) and before he won his 3 x Force Player of year Awards.

    Western Force 2015

Maybe you should stop "hearing" such rubbish and start talking to people who know. Hodgo has ALWAYS been the hardest worker in preparation. Has ALWAYS been 30 minutes early for EVERY training session. This commitment is the reason that he's been awarded 4 x Force Man of the Year awards.
