And what did McCabe and Fainga'a offer that was so much better?? I contend that Mortlock's experience should have pushed him ahead of at least one of these guys.

    Spiro's article today

He was ready to play in the semi. Passed fitness test etc. He asked to play - wanted to play. Who would you play in centre? McDonald or Tana? Not to mention that Mils actually played most of the Super season at fullback that year for the Blues from meory. The Blues won that year.

Hehe...I meant 2007. But Deans and Mitchell should have played Umaga in 2003 as well. One reason I was happy to see RD NOT get the AB job.

It's not that hard is it. Deans should have kept George Smith, Stirling Mortlock, maybe Phil Waugh and have Nathan Sharpe more involved. How many RWCs do you have to see before you realise that having that experience in your team is simply invaluable. Talent, training, preparation, money...

2011 IRB Player of the Year

The way Kaino has stood out in an outstanding pack could equally go in his favour. Kaino for my money.

    So where to from here?

Stephen Donald was actually first choice in 2009. Some of the current squad haven't had it easy either. Jerome Kaino, Piri Weepu, Ma'a Nonu have all been dropped and critisised about their game.

    So where to from here?

This just isn't true. Stephen Donald, Isaia Toeava (to date), Adam Thompson (to date), Marty Hollah, Caleb Ralph, Wyatt Crockett are just a few names which come to mind.

Cooper - Good or Great rugby player - discuss.

OK....let's get this straight. Spencer was never going to be nominated for the hitman of the year award but he wasn't hidden at FB or on the wing either......and his teams still won.

    So where to from here?

Bruce Ross has said a couple of times this year that Wallabies supporters have taken false hope from wins that meant not a lot in the grand scheme of things. The Hong Kong win and the French demolition last year glossed over the losses to England and Munster. The Reds Super season made some...

    Has Burger been cited?

OK....just the way everybody stopped I thought the whistle had blown or something. I'll say it again though.....a BEAUTIFUL hit!!

    Has Burger been cited?

That is an awesome hit!! No way that should get penalised!

Australia: now the worlds most hated team, and whinging saffas.

Here is what Aussies are saying on Quade's FB page. Kiwis are actually defending him:

2011 IRB Player of the Year

No - he didn't play 8 much, if at all in Super Rugby this year. Saili and Lowrey played there most of the season.

    So where to from here?

These guys time will come but some of you guys need to be a bit patient. Aussie really needs an NPC/Currie Cup comp.....
