    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Can I say I think it is impressive that we can name two different front rows for the Wales and Scotland games, both of which should be pretty solid. Five years ago playing two games in one week against Six Nation teams would have been impossible.

    Is that your serious prediction

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Don't get me wrong I think Berrick Barnes is a very good test player. A fair selection in any wallabies 22. But the man is ideally a no.12. It really shows the dilemma Deans is facing with so many flyhalves injured, Barnes appears to be the only option. I a bit surprised that Deans didn't chuck...

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Barnes at Flyhalf?! seriously, have they not been watching the tahs. This would have been the perfect game for Coops to find some form The choice of Harris is interesting, and perhaps suggests that he'll be in the 22 (possibly starting against Wales). I'm not sure there is enough creative...

SH team vs NH team....any aussies in the SH team?

very true. I'll concede that NZ and SA fans would probably probably wouldnt have so many aus players in this team. But I'm Australian so I prefer our top players.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

I take your point. Wales will have a very good backrow. I think it is an area we will shine though. As you say we have what looks to be a well balanced backrow (one that screams test quality). Some good depth there as well. However I do think Genia represents a distinct advantage.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

What seems weird is that everyone (including the coaches in the Wallabies' setup) appear to be aware that Kepu and Alexander played on the wrong sides of the scrum last year. I'd like to think it's part of some diabolical long term plan aimed at creating ultimate versatility to win the 2015...

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

I'd have Hooper and Dennis on for Palu and Higgers in the second half. Also I cant remember the last time AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has cost the Wallabies a game. He seems to shine in the Gold Jersey and in fact I have clear memories of him being particularly effective against the Northern Hemisphere teams. He's a...

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

I'm actually really excited about this series. It should be very competitive and a great test for the Wallabies' depth. Going from the comments on this board you would think we should be quivering in our boots at the thought of Australia's impending destruction. Pffffffffft! Grow some balls...

    Hooper vs Gill

I voted Gill. I'm a Qld so im obviously biased. I'd actually feel more confident having Hooper on the field for the Wallabies if we had to play the All Blacks tomorrow...so I guess that says I think Hooper is the better player today. However I've voted for Gill because I feel like he's the one...

Brumbies v Reds Super Rugby round 14

If the Reds can win the rest of their games (and don't catch the Brumbies) they'd need to finish above 3 of the top 9 sides. Provided they can win the rest of their games, they'd need:- - Hurricanes to lose at least 1 game - almost a certainty - Highlanders to lose at least 1 game (maybe two)...

Reds v Lions, Super Rugby Round 13 2012

I actually think Morahan has performed pretty well this year considering the circumstances. His defensive form has improved over the last few weeks. Has had a few shockers through the season. But for me, he's just one of those classic outside backs to put on the end of an attacking backline. He...

Reds v Lions, Super Rugby Round 13 2012

A few thoughts on the team:- 1. Has age finally caught up to Radike Samo? Seriously, the man was a wallabies starter 8 months ago. Now nobody even questions his absence from the 22. I didnt think he'd be able to have another year like he did in 2011 but I at least expected him to provide some...

Reds v Lions, Super Rugby Round 13 2012

BTW I thought Mozza would have to sit out a game or two. Wasn't he cited?

Reds v Lions, Super Rugby Round 13 2012

I cant see Quade being named this weekend but if he is he'll be named on the bench. I dont think he's quite 100% and they wont risk him even at 95%. With that said, the Reds have to play the next 2 weeks as though they're playing a semi final (v Lions) and grand-final (v Brumbies). A loss in...

    2012 S15 SA Conference

I like how the SARU unanimously decide that the Kings will be in the Super 15, yet no confirmation that Sanzar will support an extra team in the competition. One would think that the current Sanzar braodcasting deal will mean that SANZAR will only accomadate 15 teams. I think a year to year...

    2012 S15 SA Conference

As paarlbok noted a bit thin at lock perhaps but i think the sharks have the nucleus of a pretty solid forward pack. I'm expecting BDP to have a big year out from under Smit's shadow and the other player who I see standing out another the South Africans is Pat Lambie. He might be able to spark...

    2012 S15 SA Conference

I like the look of the Sharks this year. I think they'll top their conference if they can travel well.
