Actually no it wasn't a no brainer. Both Cooper and Foley performed very poorly in the lead up to the RWC. Both had horrible Rugby Championship games. Foley was arguable the lesser worst of the two by the tiniest of margins. But he did end up justifying selection only after the England game...

I wouldn't say by miles. Kerevi is also great at beating defenders and passing the ball intelligently (he passes better then Folau). And unlike Folau who dropped back to fullback every chance he got, Kerevi defended in the line. I wouldn't even say Folau played 13, he played a hybrid...

But with Nabuil and Naivalu of similar skillset and then Speight, Naiyara, and Morahan options too. I think the value in bringing Koroibete on the EOYT isn't worth it. I'd rather they give Nabuil and Naivalu a shot, or further attempt to get Speight back to form.
