Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

He didn't play the 7 on-the-baller role with McMahon at 8 which I thought was strange - and costly.

I'm with you, why the hell was the medic going for the ball? Phipps was obviously going for the ball, he guy got in the way so he pushed him out of the way, no harm done. I'm pretty sure you can even see Phipps apologising to him afterward before the little Argentinian fullback runs from 25...

GAGR MOTM Wallabies vs Pumas, Twickenham 9th October.

    3. Kerevi 2. DHP 1. Timani Would have given it to Hooper or Coleman but the yellow cards bring them down.

Yes I liked what I saw from Timani, wasn't exactly the bulldozing runner we want but he sure was psychical, which is something lacking from most of our forwards. I'd like to see him persisted with, he has height for the line-out too so hopefully that skill can be developed. Probably see his...

I have a feeling Hodge's best position may be at fullback where he use his big boot to effect. DHP is pretty good but Hodge could reach his level soon plus have the point of difference of having the big clearing kick. I really hope he/coaches pick a position and he sticks with it. Could be...

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

Kerevi's distribution has been good from what I've seen. Apparently Hodge played 10 most of this career so I'd imagine he should be a good distributor too, plus we know his defence is top notch and he won't have to be switching positions, but then from what we've actually seen from Hodge at...

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

I agree with this, Foley's running, support, secondary passer and all round skill indicate, theoretically, that he'll make a solid 12. Kind of in the Horan mould. I was excited to see the Cooper/Foley combo on attack, worried about the defence. Now that's its been a couple of games I think it...

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

Actually no it wasn't a no brainer. Both Cooper and Foley performed very poorly in the lead up to the RWC. Both had horrible Rugby Championship games. Foley was arguable the lesser worst of the two by the tiniest of margins. But he did end up justifying selection only after the England game...

Or maybe he'd let go of the bitterness and just play for his country, you know his childhood dream at the highest possible level of this career. Pretty sure he'd want to do that.

Well Sio got the boot before for some scrum penalties so maybe its the same case for Slipper.

Is Simmo dropped or injured? It that lock combination number 8 this season? And probably not the last.

I like those changes. Especially Arnold getting a shot.

Unless they miss.. which a player like Lilo did a few times last year. Or Gits did a few times for the wallabies too.

Hodge's first kick was accurate but fell short. His other 2 were from the side-lines and Foley is not better at that angle, let along with added distance.

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

I wouldn't say by miles. Kerevi is also great at beating defenders and passing the ball intelligently (he passes better then Folau). And unlike Folau who dropped back to fullback every chance he got, Kerevi defended in the line. I wouldn't even say Folau played 13, he played a hybrid...

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

But with Nabuil and Naivalu of similar skillset and then Speight, Naiyara, and Morahan options too. I think the value in bringing Koroibete on the EOYT isn't worth it. I'd rather they give Nabuil and Naivalu a shot, or further attempt to get Speight back to form.
