    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

We don't lose because of lineout woes. We lose because of breakdown woes, 100% of the time.

I'm with Bob Dwyer on this - as far as the breakdown goes, Vickerman does what Horwill does, but better.

Say It Ain't So!!! McCaw may be GONE...

I'm torn on this. A part of me wants all the teams to be at full strength for the sake of the event... but another part of me wants the Wallabies to have the best possible chance of winning it. I would feel seriously sorry for McCaw himself - the poor bloke will be shattered if this is true.

Watch a replay and observe him hit the rucks. He plays a very different game to Sharpe, of whom I'm also a fan.

Genia and Cooper played in all those games. In fact Genia and Cooper have played in most of our games over the past year, leading to an approximate 50% win rate. Why are they still being selected?

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Individual players or combinations don't 'lead to' results. You could equally say not to pick AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in the centres because he was a constant in the same results. If you think we lost to New Zealand because of the McCabe and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) centre combination then you're even madder than you seem. I...

It was tried in the Tri-Nations, and went well.

He has two gallops left before the final. We know what he's capable of.

It's not that we're an Aussie site. It's that we don't allow personal abuse, in order to avoid the kind of flame wars that fill up forums across the Internet.

Light, which games are you basing Lambie's high rating on?

He may have been refuting the idea that the Diver would enjoy an advantage over BamBam.

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

I have a feeling in my waters that the leeks are going to spring one on the Oirish this weekend. Wales by 15.

If Barnes is preferred to McCabe, that doesn't mean McCacbe is bad.

    Dan Carter out of cup

No light, I'm only going on what the people on here who have met him have said. You're the first I've heard come out with such a negative personal assessment.

    Dan Carter out of cup

The common view of people who actually know Cooper, or have come across him in rugby, is that he's very far from a knob: rather, that he's a quiet and genuinely humble kind of guy. What leads you to think he's a knob, FrankLind? Is it the way he 'comes across' on camera at games? Or is it...

I'm a huge Barnes fan but even I would have given him some games to show his fitness and form before selecting him in the first team. Which is what he got.
