    The Wallaby gameplan

    Well, we're certainly battle-hardened.

    The Wallaby gameplan

Good post. What you're describing is something that Barnes does very well.

    The Wallaby gameplan

My personal theory is we try to go outside Smith, inside Nonu and over Cruden.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

That's what happens when large numbers of people want to move in to your country, as opposed to large numbers of people wanting to move out of it. :)

    The Wallaby gameplan

Only take a half next time. ;)

    The Wallaby gameplan

On the contrary, it's a recurring theme of Wallaby backline play to try to get outside Smith's outside shoulder. It's a known weakness, and we've scored a few that way.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

I think not. Half-healed hammies are a ticking bomb. Firstly, by playing just a few days too soon he could end up with a grade three tear, be out for half of next season and have recurring injuries throughout his career. Secondly, it increases the risk of us losing multiple players during the...

    The Wallaby gameplan

Wallaby supporters: made from steel. Fortunately the team have shown rather more starch.

    Has Burger been cited?

This is true. He should have dealt with Burger.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

You tackled him in the air, kiap. Yellow for you!

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

And inevitably, New Zealand has never beaten Australia in a World Cup game.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Roussow had both arms round Samo's legs from when when Samo's started to dewscent until his head hit the ground. Attached is a screen shot on the way down.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

I'm a huge Beale fan but we don't lose much with Barnes at 15. Maybe, in a RWC semi, his cool head is for the best. I hope Kurtley recovers though.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

How so? Roussow took out Samo's legs. Dangerous play. It is as clear as day in the replay.

    Congrats Aussies!

Someone once told me that the Dutch had distilled all their madness and sent it off to South Africa. I thought that was hardly fair comment, since the Dutch are obviously still mad. It also happens to be a rugby compliment of the first order: it is their 'madness' - their extremity of...

    Congrats Aussies!

Thanks Paarlbok. Typical South African graciousness. The better rugby team by most measures lost on the day. But it was an epic battle, and your guys have won enough gritty defensive efforts over the years that you know how it feels for us to have won one as well!

    The Wallaby gameplan

I obviously don't think 'that was the case'. But I do think 1 and 4 were.

    Poll: Cooper at 10?

It was the accumulation of sharp one-line criticisms that made it sound like shit-stirring, DPK.
