^^^ASIC should at the very least be enquiring into these allegations.

    NSW AAGPS 2018

As far as I know, Shore will be playing in 1sts, 2nds and 3rds (and will have plenty of teams below this). They should also have plenty of age group teams in every age. Last year there was an issue with their 15A team withdrawing from the competition, so there may be a cloud over their 16A...

    2018 SYDNEY COLTS

The play the ball used to be a ruck of sorts before they stopped the marker being able to strike for the ball.

Someone is paying their way, and no matter who that someone is the club is one of the most professionally run outfits on and off the field.

    Shute Shield 2018

No, it's not sustainable and to be fair they haven't been sustainable for at least the last 3 seasons. I'm actually quite surprised that the Penrith club haven't said to the powers that be; we can't continue in this competition.

I still use them, so you aren't alone HB. :) But then again I still call second rowers just that.

The whole structure of game is confused, and in fact dysfunctional. Multiple layers of petty administrators each defending their turf, elite and junior rep programmes which stand outside and are at best loosly connected to other parts of the game and on it goes. In Sydney as an example...

Looking at involvement with Super Rugby in 2021-2025 is concerning in itself.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2017

What you saw was no doubt a young man who was very dominant at schoolboy level. Not all schoolboy stars succeed at senior level though (I'm talking in general terms, not about this young man). Sometimes an adjustment is necessary as what worked in school or age group rugby doesn't always...

    Shute Shield 2018

Manly have excellent continuity between seniors and juniors. The kids are all part of Manly and most go on to play colts for Manly. I saw earlier on you made a comment that soccer, league and AFL were that dominant in this area. You must be kidding. Manly Warringah Football (Soccer)...

Marlins 1st grade colts are 2 from 2. Glad to see the boys doing well.:)

    2018 SYDNEY COLTS

I was on the receiving end of the same sort of thing when I coached 2nd grade colts 15 years ago. Although then it was the whole 2nds front row who had played schoolboy reps and half the backline. Nothing has changed it seems - and the points system doesn't look to have any effect at all.

If my reading of the balance sheets is even close to correct, the game is bascially operating as a ponsi scheme. If ever the next payment doesn't come, it will be time to fold up the tents.

Because despite the mistakes, the overarching strategy is right. That's why. And you've proved my point in one post.:) As I said in my post (which I assume you read), rugby could have withstood the mistakes, what it can't withstand is the wrong strategy.

It was more than market forces which saw the decline. This is not about administration being on the right track and making some mistakes on the way, this is about successive administrations which have adopted a top down strategy which is clearly not working. Now maybe it was ok to trial the...
