NRC Rnd 6: Melbourne Rising v Western Sydney Rams

What an abysmal performance. Well done Rams. Throughout the whole tournament, we've been conceding far too many metres after the tackle, bar one or two individuals. Big but mobile Rams pack is exploiting it, and add in Walton starting and they're playing very well. Need a massive kick up the...

    Springboks v Wallabies - Sunday 2 October 1am AEST - Loftus Versfeld

Harris is at Lyon and playing well.

It's on 503 right now. Replay will be up sometime this week.

    Brumbies 2017

I agree fully, but Both of those are a little different though. Hawkins was and is a regular starter for North Harbour, while West missed out on a Blues contract only because of Benji Marshall, and found himself with a contract 5 months later anyway. People here are talking about signing someone...

    Brumbies 2017

Why Bip at 10? Turiniri feels that at NRC level, you put your 7 best backs out there and let them organise themselves. Shipperley and Maddocks injured. Sefa and Hodge with the Wallabies. Jack in poor form. 3 Super scrummies on the books. And Meehan having played 10 before, for Box Hill, in...

    Springboks v Wallabies - Sunday 2 October 1am AEST - Loftus Versfeld

Yeah, no. Injured for starters. Even less mobile than Jones who was declared a lock because of that lack of mobility. Tommy Staniforth would be my pick if the Wallabies were thinking a proper second rower at blindside, rather than a half lock or a 4/5/6 hybrid.

    Brumbies 2017

As a counterpoint, what young player is already signed up that you want? And would the Ray's fly half not be good enough for you? Or Sam Greene when he gets back from Japan? Or Ben Lucas?

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Yeah, it is, beyond the skill gap, coaching ability gap, player depth and lack of financial resources, it gets really frustrating. That's our fault though, and I can blame and be angry at Scotlands' lack of Rugby culture, the SRU, Scott Johnson etc. and nobody suffers except us. But it gets...

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Massive win well deserved by the ABs. Lack of spine shown by Peyper throughout the whole match.

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

First contact around the neck, had it been lower to start with, the tackle isn't effective, turnover isn't made. Advantage gained from illegal action. Incident didn't deserve a card by itself, but that is approximately 5 penalties in the 22 since the first card, a second is well deserved...

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

Any other team would have been given a second yellow card by now, even before the clearly dangerous tackle.

    Springboks v Wallabies - Sunday 2 October 1am AEST - Loftus Versfeld

Couple of crap calls from Barnesy. Card definitely wasn't one of them.

    Springboks v Wallabies - Sunday 2 October 1am AEST - Loftus Versfeld

14 games as a substitute for the Tahs in 2012. 1 start and 4 as a substitute in 2013. Cliffy Palu, Dave Dennis and Jed Holloway all both Started, and played 8 ahead of him in both seasons. Moving him to lock simplified his game, and that's allowed him to excel, not having to worry about wide...

    NRC onwards and upwards

Not sure tbh. At the moment, I'd suggest the winnders from the 6 remaining games will be the Rising& Spirit in this round, then the Eagles, Rays, Spirit and City, which would result in: Eagles v Rising & Rays v Spirit And then the 1st final would probably be decided by who gets more players...

NRC Rnd 6: QLD Country v NSW Country

Lack of rotation hurt the Rising. Lost 3 of the best: Jones, McMahon and English on the eve of finals. Meant we had a debutant off the bench, and our underutilised locals were forced to play a lot more minutes. Think Veainu got ruled out through injury only 2 weeks before as well. Got to...

NRC Rnd 6: Sydney Rays v Canberra Vikings

True. Sio, Alaalatola, Alexander, Fainga’a, Arnold, Cubelli, Kuridrani and Speight is a combination of high quality and experienced mix. Hopefully add in Lilo or a replacement and while it's not quite as good as the side with Moore, To'omua, Tomane and Pocock, it's still a good one.

    NZ Domestic Rugby Competitions 2016

As an aside, if it hadn't been for injury, we would probably have seen the U19 boys McGregor and Maddocks in the Rising teams as well, particularly the latter, who was named in original Rising squad.
