    Refereeing decisions

I'm sure they do know them D. They just better know how to apply them to NZ or Aus sides.

    TT R5 Hurricanes v Reds Friday 5:05PM

Tate is a more dangerous ball runner than Jake. Neither has as good a kicking game as Nic White. I reckon Tate has always been vying with Nic for the No 9 spot with Jake a bit further back in third place.

Playing in the wrong number atm Reg. That's all.

    Super Rugby T-T R5: Brumbies v Highlanders

It is bat-shit crazy to have a competition where the five NZ sides play the five Aus sides. The solution, if TT is to continue, is to have every team play every other one at least once. However, if they (whoever they are) keep appointing second and third rate NZ referees to games in Aus, then...

Powell is not shite. He might not be the best, nor in the top 2 or 3 No 9s, but he has some excellent skills and is generally a solid all round performer. Not sure exactly what about him riles you up so much Derpus. That said, I for one would like to see Issac Leleiwasa-Fines get a go at...

Swan song for each of Leleiwasa Fines, Pasitoa, Kuenzle and Tapine off to the Force, and Hanson off overseas. Any others I've missed? Farewell and good luck all.

Was it just last week that Droasese butchered a try by going himself with a couple of unmarked supports on his outside, all within the 22m area. I presume some coaches would have no hesitation dropping a player in those circumstances.

A bit like you Emu, judging by the tone of your post. But you are right of course. Game day threads for game day posts

Points from one half of the domestic season would not equate to a conference Gel. It would simply be a full, single round season between the NZ and Aussie sides where, under one suggested structure that half domestic season would count towards both the TT and the domestic ladders.

    Super Rugby T-T R5: Brumbies v Highlanders

That's a very young bench for the Brumbies. Will be interesting to note Pollard's pace if he gets on near the end. Assuming Noah has some niggles? A bit sorry for Reimer - thought he had been very good the last couple of games. Seems very early in the year to be waving our Brumbies goodbye...

I reckon Dan will be smacking his lips at the prospect of coaching the likes of Tupou, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), McReight and Wilson, and maybe Hosea, FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner), Uru, Bell in addition to his Brumbies who get the call up.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So Dan comes up with some reasoned criticism while a couple of Melbourne posters complain about a clash with Aussie Rules. What are the priorities?

Bench I think in that scenario B, too many really good wingers around to take those spots without moving someone else there who hasn't been playing in the spot.

Better keep breathing Dan because you obviously are having trouble having a clear thought.

JB, Wikipedia lists both at 1.8m, Perese 91kg and Ikitau 95kg. Don't know how much confidence we can have in Wikipedia but the heights look about right to me.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Differentials don't necessarily mean a lot QH. Chiefs might have had the worst in the SRAo comp, but finished second.

Super Rugby T-T R4 Brumbies vs Hurricanes

A bit of time to mull over the game has passed. For a low scoring game, it had plenty of excitement and good play. Mostly, the Brumbies held on and won through their defence. I've probably never seen both Ardie Savea and Laumape kept so quiet with ball in hand. Contrary to the usual impacts...

Fair enough TSR but I have all three of Naisarani, Uru and FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) well ahead of Wells on ability to perform at test level. Isi has been there for quite a few years despite "having things to work on" with recent coaches. I think Wells has played his best rugby this year but imo that is not at the...

    Super Rugby T-T R4: Chiefs v Rebels

Against the run of comments, but I'd have to say Gordon was disappointing. Two missed tackles late in the game by him led directly to the two tries difference in the score. And he rockets the pass much too hard, and often misdirected, at close supports. Got a lot to learn.

Gold pickup Froggy. However, I would be slightly more favourable towards Perese at the moment. EDIT: With the short turnaround I hope to see them both get a run against France. I prefer that to Matty at 12.
