    Where to for Super Rugby?

Fair enough, I haven’t followed this thread all that religiously as I’m not going to be making the decisions. Tasman just seems to be successful in the comp. I will interested to see what the end result will be.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

BR, you’re probably right. Maybe just chop up the Crusaders and add Tasman, That’d probably even up the comp a bit. I just see the product from the NPC and see such quality rugby being played. Like I said I’m not welded to any of this, just an idea

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I, like virtually everyone else on here is pretty much over super rugby and it’s convoluted conference system and away games being played in the middle of the night. We can’t expect a top product out of teams travelling all over the Southern Hemisphere for games with jet lag, general fatigue, et...

    Wallabies 2020

Probably right re Deegan. Although I guess he’s the most senior specialist 10 playing (not playing) at present. I agreed more with the rhetoric that HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) is hard done by, and as Froggy puts it And that Harrison, Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase), Tafa and Harris have the potential to make it at some stage, just not now.

    Kangaroos Vs Wallabies

There was a game a year or so back with Randwick playing the Magpies in a hybrid game. I didn’t attend, had some variations where the team played union in the defensive half and league on attack, or vice versa. Can’t imagine it would’ve be that good to watch, like 10s union or 9s league. Anyone...

    Wallabies 2020

Agree that no one has put their hand up in that time and it was ridiculous to play non aussies in key playmaking positions. A roll on from that is someone like Kyle Godwin, who looked promising, playing outside a traditional SA fly half who kept it tight and never reached his potential. But why...

    Wallabies 2020

I think the original point was that it is a sad indictment that we are considering 20 year olds for test rugby because a bunch of 30 year olds left. Either there were no good 10s in that time period or if there were they got bored of waiting for an opportunity and explored other options. I’d...

    Brumbies v Waratahs, Rnd 7 2020 GIO Stadium Sunday 15 Mar 16:05

With any luck we will get those 50-50 calls as he thinks we are a saffa team?

    Waratahs vs Chiefs - Super Rugby R 6 2020, Friday 6 March @ 7.15pm @ Wollongong

For me, starting front row needs to play longer minutes. Second row needs to be tinkered with as what we’ve got now isn’t working. 8 and 6 need looking at, (Maybe a pooper type set up with tizzano or gamble playing 6 and just going hard?). 8 needs to be more physically dominant. Moroa at 12...

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

And even if a high tackle equates to cynical play, usually the ref will say “leave it 7....”. Nothing, penalty, card. Bullcrap

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

Is it time to mention neutral refs?

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

Surely a high tackle isn’t a warning for cynical play?

Any idea how the Second team went?

    Waratahs 2020

If we had the rebels 8 last night the game would’ve been different. Not saying the Tahs win, but his running game provided such a good platform for the later phases. Having an ineffective second row doesn’t help. If you can’t; bend the line, get the scrums going forward or win your own lineout...

    Waratahs 2020

Moreoa needs to play a lot more minutes anyway. Start, I think. Probably by the time he did learn a new position you’d hope they’d have a lock, 6 or 8 who attacks and bends the line already playing.

    Waratahs 2020

Agreed, his few touches seemed to get us moving forward and uncomplicate things. The transition to loosie would be ideal.
