    Argentina v Australia II @ 5.10am 14/08

Stopgap? Maybe, but also the best performing that we have seen, right now. I want to see the best 15, the best 23 out there. I personally don't see Lolesio as fully ready right now. Which doesn't mean he hasn't performed when we had no choice. Right now though, I think we do have a choice. I...

    Argentina v Australia II @ 5.10am 14/08

Yes any team will do better with a forward going pack. Yes any number of minor things could have happened in two losses for that series to have gone differently. It wasn't a great England team though, and Lolo had to step up. He did fine. But I'd maintain if we can start to control his exposure...

    Wallabies 2023

It's madness to think that a team ranked #6 can treat any team in the top 10 as a lower quality tier. We need the best team on the park and we desperately need these wins.

Sure, like Rennie's attitude to 7. He wants a utility back rower, not a specialist 7 on the bench. So a 7 starts or is in reserves. Unfortunately I suspect dropping Lolo into starting 10 (when Quade went down pre-game against England) did him no favours. If we start him, then both JOC (James O'Connor) and Hodge...

Purce, suggesting Hodge starts at 10 is odd, I grant you. It's what I see right now though. In essence I wouldn't be starting Lolesio, but building him from the bench wherever this is possible. With Quade out, that seems to give us JOC (James O'Connor) or Hodge. From what we have seen, JOC (James O'Connor) has been undercooked...

    Argentina v Australia II @ 5.10am 14/08

Agree with the 5/3 bench - I think we need both a 9 and a 10 on the pine. I'd be starting Hodge at 10, he was better than serviceable last test. Let Lolo come on with 10-15 to go. JOC (James O'Connor) misses to Hodge at this stage I suspect. I don't see Tate getting the nod as I think Gordon has worked. Unless...

GAGR Wallaby POTY v Argentina (1st test)

There was literal leadership there. Take my hat off to him, I'd have ended the game, but we would not have ended up leading the comp.

My understanding in most scrum setups, is that the force is applied via the "tripod" that is : x Prop at the point x flanker and lock behind. x the locks bind it (the two tripods) together Which means there is little actual weight from the 8 that goes through to the front. There's a big...

I fear this may be close to the truth. Have to say thanks Quade and I hope you prove me an idiot.

It's huge. Holloway definitely a key ingredient. Couple of issues on the lift bringing the jumper down over the line. Though mostly that was entanglement between opposing jumpers. The line out improvement is immense. Let's see how we go against the Springboks though.

I thought so too. But with the points on the board you'd have to say they were right.

The Argies were attacking the halves channel very heavily. Not sure on the D set up but it seems an issue when the halves make more tackles in a game than the locks. What is interesting is that the stats show the WBs dominated territory in both halves, but 9 and 10 still did not seem to have a...

Wicked left boot and a side-step to die for.

Nope. His chance will be on the northern tour. If Rennie is interested. I'm thinking Lolesio with Hodge getting a lock on the bench.

Ha! all good. I did think that Fraser had a great game. He'll go well at this level.

    Argentina v Australia Sun, 7/8/2022, 5:10 am

Sure, it can be like that when you quote a specific point in the game where, well, McReight was a goose. [In from the side, not just in front of the ref but almost having to shoulder the ref out of the way to get there.] Had a great game overall. He and Holloway have plenty of upside and start...

Wow. That's not good. At 34 could be career ending. Man, all the best Quade.
