The Impending Beale vs Folau vs Cooper debate

He's just nearly 30, he's getting phased out like most backs his age would. He'll make phenomenally versatile bench cover through the 2015 RWC. We don't need to be changing anything to 'find' space for him, you put the best 15 players you have on the field.

    Adongo to make NFL debut

@Richo I'm expecting to see him debut at strong side linebacker, especially so considering he's been reported to have bulked up significantly as per that article. Is Adongo quick? I'm not sure if he's going to have the agility to be a JPP or Von Miller-esque pass rusher, as he's being hyped...

    2013 World Test XV

Not really. Genetic freaks they may be, they're still people. I don't buy the argument that because they were on the pitch that makes them intrinsically a better judge of how the other player played. If anything you miss a whole lot of what goes on in a match when playing, especially in the...

Scrubber, you're trying to make something inherently unscientific into a scientific process. The number one weighted variable in rating sports stars will almost always be personal opinion. Don't bang your head on that wall too hard. Disclaimer: Obviously you can compare baseball players, track...

Maybe a statue of Quade throwing a 20m Koala flick pass to Lockyer (wearing a dragon suit) would make everyone happy?

The Impending Beale vs Folau vs Cooper debate

Folau linked with his other outside backs against Wales roughly 100% better than Beale did against the Lions. One botched attempt doesn't erase the several times he took on the line and put the next man out into space.

    USA and Canadian Rugby

I can't speak much to the backs as I haven't been watching them all that closely recently but the current USA forward pack (with club players from overseas) would be a good test for a dirt-trackers Wallaby pack. It would definitely be a good way to secure game time for the fringe guys who may...

    Best World Wallaby team

Given the extra space that a dominant tighthead can provide for the backs by causing the scrum to begin to turn before the ball comes out I'd be perfectly fine with Dan Palmer playing in any game plan (given his form).

The Impending Beale vs Folau vs Cooper debate

To'omua provides the extra option because he is a legitimate threat to break the line by going straight over top of the opposing 10/12. Beale doesn't provide this type of running and we would see the inside backs jockey early to cover the swerve or pass outside.

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

Wallabies work at the ruck is just light years from where it was not even a few weeks ago

Not really all that crazy, especially as a last-ditch injury cover. He sure as shit runs the ball better than he throws it into the line out.

    Reds 2014

@TheBigDog If you can find and watch the game CFS played against the Waratahs early on in Super Rugby this year, check it out. When you are describing Kerevi you are describing exactly how CFS played in this start at 13. Not saying one is better than the other because frankly I've seen what...

@TheBigDog So a 110kg centre..like CFS? Kerevi and him battling it out will be nothing but good for the Reds.

    Reds 2014

I'd like to see CFS in 13 because the midfield is an area where we have sorely lacked penetration since Tapuai fell out of form. If CFS can step into 13 and run some of the lines that he did against the Waratahs in the early game last year he would create heaps of space for our wingers with his...

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

Gotcha. I just thought they would be running as a non-profit LLC.

    Reds 2014

I'd like to see Taps rediscover his form at 12 and CFS get increasing time and eventually become our starting 13 as the season progresses. I love Ant but Taps/CFS is a much more well rounded combination with serious, serious attacking potential if both players are anywhere near good form. I'm...
