We are in the fortunate position where we don't have to compete as much with League for fans and juniors. A couple of guys (mostly outside backs) have slipped through the net to the League U20s tournaments but I think that the NRC will go a long way to plugging that hole in the future.

One thing that I have noticed over time is that those local players who do get brought into our system often perform a lot better than most people (myself included) would expect. You often hear guys in Perth clubland banging on about how there are better players in clubland than in the Force...

McCaw in from the side was a tough call. But the Crusaders could easily have been penalised at the ruck before that IMHO.

We need a crashball option somewhere. Our backrow aren't renowned ball runners. If we have two 90kg centres and an 80kg fly-half, we'll struggle to get go forward.

He has the height, weight and athleticism to be a proper 6/8. At 197cm, 110kgs (according to the ARU- which isn't always 100% accurate) he has pretty much the same dimensions as Sam Wykes. Hopefully with some development left in him. I thought the point of a Notta was that they were not tall...

Especially since he started the season so late. His first game was the Rnd 9 match vs the Waratahs I think. But that's pretty fair. I don't remember DHP playing a bad game all season and he has a habit of having some really good involvements- not sprinting 80 metres down the sideline to score...

According to Nick Taylor from the Worst Australian, Leyds is staying. Great guns if true. We've lost Hayward so 15 is an option. Otherwise we probably need an A grade 10, which we don't currently have and maybe Leyds is good enough for that.
