    Rebels 2021

I didn’t know anything about him until I listened to the podcast yesterday and it mentions that he had been training as part of the wider junior wallabies squad. Now I don’t even know how old he is and if he has another year or not

I am not too fussed, I look forward to see who we signed but outside of Marika there is no big loses Naisarani is one but I feel Leota will fill that gap especially with Phillip coming into the the starting line up to lock with Hosea

    Trans Tasman 2022

But the game didn’t go backwards as a result of Super Rugby it went backwards due to a lack of investments in pathways and developing players. As a kid that way back played in Melbourne you see the massive benefit of having super rugby here. The amount of professional players coming out of...

We can’t be afraid to compete. No doubt the results weren’t great but we got better as the comp went on. People keep trying to say super rugby killed the game in Australia but that is just not that case it’s choosing to exclude so many other factors.

That would be huge you look at the amount of aboriginal talent both the AFL and NRL. It’s something we are lacking in Union. If Fergo can help us engage the indigenous community it’s a big yes from me

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Also the issue is you have to book seats you can’t go down and get general admission. It’s such a pain in the arse, I am a member but even then you have to plan to go redeem your seats. You can’t just decide after work on a Friday that you will go down

Very happy to see this, it’s essential to get as many locals coming through as possible.

Is there going to be an under 20s world cup this year with Covid. I really missed it last year its a comp I love to watch

    Where to for Super Rugby?

No but when you have Chiefs v Blues you will have support for both sides in the crowd making the attendance higher As someone who attended every Rebels home game along with a lot of AFL games this year the Vic Government have made it bloody difficult to go. I found the process with the Rebels...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Why do you think that is? Of course crowds are down. Most people still aren’t travelling internationally so you will get no away support for the teams

Do you follow cricket at all? Look at the effect county cricket has on improving young Australian players. Just playing more cricket and having a different opinion on their game and fresh feedback on their techniques. Also the style of cricket they play there is different so they have to adapt...

Leota had signed to play in France and then turned his back on the deal to play for the Rebels and Wallabies

    Rebels 2022

I was thinking from more of a development side of things. Blokes who are young and have missed the wallabies well they should want to play the best level of rugby available to them

    Western Force 2022

Also there is the go home factor, the Force Brumbies and Rebels can look to recruit Tahs or Reds juniors put the time and effort into developing them for them to want to go home

Would love to see some of the young Rebels lads look for deals in the NPC. Just think the opportunity to play at that level would be far better than playing club rugby

The CO have already found Leota's replacement next season. According to the Midol, Rob Leota will not come to the Tarn next season. While the CO had made a big blow with the arrival of the Australian, the player of the Melbournes Rebels finally decided to stay in the country to apply for the...
