Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

I had to search the deepest darkest parts of the grey matter just to remember that period actually happened...... :)

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

But when the ABs were losing more regularly between 98-02 to OZ it still wasn't panic stations that the coaches were bringing in debutantes to play the Wallabies to "try things out"

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Interested in the talk of Mogg to wing and Folau to fullback. I would've thought the other way around. Just need to use Folau a bit better on the reverse/change of angle play. Mogg is quick and elusive and needs to be persisted with at fullback for the Brumbies and OZ. The likes of Lilo and...

A t-shirt for those challenged around the waist line Deansism: lost its shape

2013 Super Rugby Semi Finals - Chiefs vs Crusaders

I think the keys for the Chiefs will be TKB and Cruden. Last time round they missed Messam, he will bring a bit of steel to what has been a very solid defence this year. TKB and Cruden will be given a decent platform to work off. If TKB mucks around with it or Cruden doesn't attack the line...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

The Bledisloe is still a massive occasion and no matter what a player has done prior to that, starting their test/international career on such an occasion is IMO a huge ask. The pressure goes up a notch If All Black selections are anything to go by in the 15 years we've only had 4 players...

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Was that when Schatz was taking up space well past the ruck and still holding on to Whitelock's legs and Whitelock was trying to get free?

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Ha. Yeah hearing the words "still in it" from the comms just after halftime even brought a smile to my face. :)

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

As Marto pointed out at halftime, and I agree with him, the Reds have really struggled to score tries this year. Their attack has been very disjointed. The forwards and backs aren't linking well like previous seasons. And tonight is no different.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Massacre continues. Reds defence has been at 6s and 7s all night. No steel, haven't knocked one Sader on their backside and have "lost their shape"

Samo on to try and spark something. Need a change in the midfield too I reckon.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Turn the volume down. That way you don't hear the booing and don't have to listen to Clarkieeeeee and Marto. Win win I'd say

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

    Well done Shipperley.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

More good attack from the Saders and timid defence from Reds

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Ouch. Schatz knocked back in the tackle and then gives away a penalty for not releasing.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Schatz is having a mare. Missed two tackles now, struggled at the back of the scrum and looks out on his feet.

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

As for the Saders v Canes game, I thought the Saders were trying way too hard in attack to try and score tries off almost every phase. The canes defence was very staunch but we didn't really change things up and play the percentages which we showed in previous games. Saders needed a 4 try BP...

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

Past seasons mean very little especially the ones where some of the players that run out tomorrow were still in primary school.... The best indicator for what will happen IMO is what has happened this season and the immediate form and health of the players and the overall performance of the two...

    Brumbies vs Cheetahs Prelim 2

I don't have any numbers to back this up, but is based on living in Canberra, Friday night games haven't traditionally pulled crowds (league or union), that's why there's been very few that I can recall.
