    Law Amendment Trials

McCaw's team. The player he tackled should have protected the ball. If he lost possession of it and it went forward then why would you reward him for not being able to keep possession?

    Law Amendment Trials

Why does the ref need to get involved in this situation??

    Law Amendment Trials

I don't like this rule. It's the ball carrier's responsibility to protect the ball and keep possession of it. I don't see what the problem is with the law as it is.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

I'd suggest you'd need him to go back to Leinster then. Or a competition at a lower level than internationals. HC form, Super Rugby form.....neither of these mean a player is dead-cert top drawer Test player.

    I'm pretty sure I don't like this

For the prices they charge to go to the games and then what they stick you for to buy any kind of food once you're there, there is no way I would want to sacrifice my view of the game so that someone else can wave a flag in support. Support by sitting your arse down and allowing us all to...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

If DC is available eg. didn't just take the ball to the line himself he is almost always first receiver. And if he isn't then it's not a big deal. Honestly, if you're a pro rugby player how hard can it be to catch a ball and pass it to the next guy?!? You will rarely ever see SBW, Dagg or...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I have to say that I don't fully understand this. I don't know that you see it happening a lot with the other first tier teams, ABs and SA in particular. Steyn and DC are first receiver probably 98% of the time. If your 1st-five is good enough, how often do you should you need (or should you...

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

I think it's too difficult to tell how good Barnes is until the Wallabies play SA and the ABs. He's played well in this Wales series but I think the new Rugby Championship will be another level.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

'Throwing the forearm'?? Laughable. He raises his arm to make a fend. Any elbow contact is accidental at best.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

^^ I wish there was a 'dislike' button for ridiculous comments like this. This post is the first bit of 'controversy' I've even seen about Gear's fend....

    Guscott's World XV

O'Conner wouln't be there. At what position is he best in the world? Digby has a chance but I don't know if he is as complete a player as the likes of Corey Jane.Horwill internationally?? No. Not one of the two best locks in the world. And if we're looking at the last 12 months, Genia wouldn't...

    John Mitchell to the Lions

My cousin was coached by Mitchell at Waikato in he age groups and saidhe was pretty good but that was quite a while ago. Ever since Cullen and Umaga said they didn't like playing for Mitchell (and Deans as well) haven't thought much of them as coaches.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

I have said to a few friends this week that I thought that the Irish never looked like they were going to break out. On the other hand, I felt that a couple of passes that didn't quite go to hand probably stopped a couple of AB tries.

Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

If a player has been charged by the police, I don't think it's uncommon at all for the player to be stood down and await the final court judgement. Again - I'm pretty sure that this is what happened with Brett Stewart from Manly.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Sorry mate - the computer system at work is pretty slow and crappy and I didn't even relise there was a video attached. All I can see is the one pic

    New Zealand vs Ireland

I agree but a still shot is hardly a lot of evidence. I don't know that there was an eye-gouge as opposed to just some accidental contact in trying to go for the ball. McCaw is obviously no Tom Carter although he also had some pretty good physical 'evidence' around that eye shortly afterwards.

Like Brett Stewart and the NRL?

    Farewell Stirling Mortlock

Ask most AB supporters and I think most of us would say that we were pretty happy that Deans hasn't seen the value in having Mortlock around the Wallabies the last few years. Big, strong, fast and skillful.........I wished he was a kiwi at times....all the best to him.

    William hatches an egg

There were a couple of times where I thought the ball was actually out and Wales would have been entitiled to for it while Genia was standing over it or behind it. As a plyer, I hate having to play the guessing game about whether the ball is still in or out at times. Yelling at the ref, "Is it...

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

We can afford Fox but watching the All Blacks - especially in another country - always feels a bit more patriotic at someone's house (or at a pub) with a few other bros dressed in black, silver fern on the chest and an ice cold Steinlager in hand.....
