Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

If Wales win it could only be under 12 points. I agree that the Wales 1-12 margin is perhaps worth a punt at $3.40 on sportsbet.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Further, Adam Thomson doesn't have a p in his name. Pretty obvious the 15 he was going to pick, given the 30-man squad. A strong enough side with plenty of players from inside and outside the squad to replace non performers. Given Ireland's injury concerns I'd be a little worried for them.

    Who's to Blame?

Didn't get the tactics right 2nd half, compounded by poor leadership and individual decision making. I absolutely cringed when Higginbotham ran against the wheel of the scrum, seriously?

Foxpsorts bloody advertising the New Zealand v Samoa match. Deciding to show the England v Italy match instead. Thanks a bloody bundle! At least it's streaming..

Press releases from the ARU Media Unit

That is some fine work there Cat. I especially enjoyed your use of the semi-colon; a greatly underutilized tool of punctuation. If you moved to the UK you could put this man out of a job...

    All Black 30 named.

Piri Weepu, Luke Romano, Kevin Mealamu... Weepu is obviously surprising, over Ellis? No way in the world. Steve Hansen must be paranoid about losing Dan and Aaron as kickers (in a 22). What else could it be? Not that Ellis is anything special but... deserves it. Good for Aaron Smith though...

Waratahs vs Hurricanes - Super Rugby 2012 Rd 15

Start of the season they were very fit. After playing the Tahs in Dunedin Mackintosh said in his post-game interview that they knew they were fitter than the Tahs. Since our bye in week 8 it's been 7 straight games including the SA trip, playing a number of better sides. Considering a continuous...

Waratahs vs Hurricanes - Super Rugby 2012 Rd 15

I only said that because what I was about to type has already been said by just about every person watching the Tahs play (and I wasn't serious for that matter). I just couldn't help myself due to how many things need fixing. I didn't even consider fitness an issue, I assumed at this level it...

Waratahs vs Hurricanes - Super Rugby 2012 Rd 15

Pretty much sums it up. I'll add (because it's fun to criticize); DECISION MAKING. I don't know how they do it in the juniors in Australia but the NZ u-20's focus on this and are selected accordingly. The skill set on offence is woeful, asides from TPN (via brute force) and occasionally AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and...

2012S15 Overall Log: Road to the play offs

This is the difference between SANZ and A. We don't really need these extra "derbies" because we have them in our national competitions. The extended super rugby makes for a very long season. If they stick with the conference set up (which they will) at least make it a straight shooting table...

    Crusader vs Highlanders

Ah well, doesn't change the result. I don't mind a bit of loose refereeing, just not against my team :)

    Crusader vs Highlanders

His excuse was "I know, but it was messy".

    Crusader vs Highlanders

Seriously though, it doesn't help when Steve Walsh lets the Crusaders do whatever they want, numerous forward passes leading to tries, offside at the rucks, offside on the defensive line. Not gonna change the result but he's just opened the door for them.

    Crusader vs Highlanders

Darn those "Aussie refs". lol, Haskell is a penalty magnet, so not surprising. We have a few players that let us down consistently, props and locks generally. Not looking good at the moment.

2012S15 Overall Log: Road to the play offs

That's what I mean when we drew the short straw this year, we skipped the Reds and Sharks last year. This year however we skipped the weakest teams from the other conferences. As for the Crusaders and Chiefs I was just dreaming of playing without the conference set up.

2012S15 Overall Log: Road to the play offs

Highlanders got the short straw this season, missed out on playing the Lions and Western Force. Considering we're sitting 7th having won the third most amount of games, those potential bonus points will hurt us. To think we could be playing the Lions and Force instead of the Crusaders and Chiefs...

Hurricanes vs Rebels Rnd 14 Super Rugby 2012

Don't be a drama queen. An intentional headbutt? Mark Gerard threw a poor dummy pass and stepped right into the tackle. Matu'u starts his lunge right before Gerard steps off his right, the tackle allegedly breaking his sternum (not knocking him out). As the commentator mentions, "the late change...

All Black training squad for 2012

The selections are not very surprising, it is a 35-man training squad after all. The majority of the recent u-20 lads are just there for a bit of experience, they won't be running on the pitch against Ireland; exceptions being Brodie Retallick and Julian Savea (courtesy of injuries to Jane and...
