    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Yeah, they've done everything they can. Solid defensive effort in the 22. They've gotten the rub of the green but it's gotta go to someone I guess. Well done Wales.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

New Zealand (via Eade) taking some poor options to pass it out wide. Need to put it just behind the rushing Welsh defence if we can't clear the cover defence. He was not held, terrible call 1 metre out from the line. NZ were in there. God we've been kicking it terribly. Have to say, that...

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Ah, well that would be part of it. I didn't know that rule. Eade is playing very sub-par. Jeez, the Welsh are a mouthy bunch. Demanding penalties at every ruck. Pretty obnoxious some of them.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

I may be mistaken but did Australia even attempt a rolling maul? Perhaps they didn't want to take the Argies on like that. Few too many dropped passes but it shouldn't have been played that wide so often. Godwin didn't kick well in play, distance kicks were too floaty and I think all through out...

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

I'd call that a try, simultaneous. That scrum and the great control by the No. 8 at the back were the highlight of this match. You can see the difference between the comparative 9 and 10 kicking game. Has proved pivotal.

No, Australian wet weather rugby is shit. This is a true battle.

Browning with the pilfer, he's been great both games.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Wow, what a scrum. They take the hit and just tighten then push! Great technique. How's your replacement 10?

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Interesting, Argie doesn't take the hit but get the penalty. It's been raining heavily for the last two days apparently, so it's to be expected. There are two games after this one on that pitch. It's going to be mud for NZ v Wales and for ENG v IRE, an OLD SCHOOL MUD FEST! They'll love it...

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

WOW! Speedy Gonzalez. Argentina have a very competitive side, they are playing with a lot of spirit.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Agreed. Maybe, it just needs to be more effective. Godwin needs to sort his kicking out, all too high and you can see the result of a good flat tactical kick from the Argentine.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Definitely, same thing in that last scrum. The Aussies can probably choose the scrum every penalty. and take 3's from the right side of the field to accommodate Godwin's hook.

They've manning up on defence so far the Argie Bargies. More weather woes, God's having a pee. Will the u-20's fare better than their senior counterparts? Perhaps an attempt from 46m wasn't the best option given he missed from 36m.

    Who's going to win?

SA by 8. NZ by 12. AUS by 2, but I would bet on Wales 1-12 for the value. I think Australia, at Suncorp, coming off that loss, no matter how good Wales is, Australia (being a Southern team) will get up. Is this side as good as perhaps England '03 and France on a good day? Either way, am so...

Watched the NZ v Samoa game on there. Not as high quality as the IRB feed last year but very viewable and minimal buffering makes it fine.

    Robbie Deans

o_O No thanks. I didn't even want Robbie Deans for NZ in 2008, although I didn't want him going to Australia either. I think the Wallabies problems are systemic, the ARU appears lethargic and lacklustre, so does Deans and the players themselves. I don't think Deans has done a particularly good...

Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

At the victory hotel at 2am... jeez. Fine establishment for some fine blokes. Being high-profile is always going to attract unwanted attention, but meh... It's up to them to take care of themselves. Who cares about what they do at night, as long as they stay fit and turn out on the...

G&GR Wallaby Player of the Year: v SCO

Fair enough, to be honest, I was flicking between the 1st half and the tennis. I missed the live coverage on fox and channel 9 put it on at 11.30(45) with ads...
