    Melbourne Rebels 2011

After recently reading Macqueens book I have no doubts the rebels will grow to be a competitive franchise. The programs he ran at warringah and the tahs are remarkibly similar to one that I was involved in when I was younger, and that was probibly my most successfull sporting endevour (not...

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

I would have had Inman, Weeks and maybe the flano in the squad. Players who I think will get cut: Chapman Edmonds BKH O'Connor/Dennis/Humphreys Maybe another back to make way for Turner?

    Uni vs Wicks

As much as a dont like the way rugga10 is winding us up, there is a little thruth to his argument. On a weekend when the rival codes in this country are holding massive events which capture the nations attention and command massive media attention, the best rugby can do is get 5000 people to...

    chisolm out> VAN THE MAN

Just watched the shute shield game from the weekend and while I wasnt sold on Douglas earlier, I think that with chisolms injury they should definatly take Douglas. I like that he's got a bit of agression about him.

Newington College vs The Hills Sports High School

I wouldn’t put it just down to the GFC. A rugby premiership doesn’t necessarily lead to increased enrolments. The most in demand spots in the QLD GPS schools are at Gregory Terrace, and in recent years they have been one of the weaker rugby schools because they don’t offer scholarships. That’s...

He's just sour because the agency doesnt return his calls anymore.

Should help more than Tom Carter.

    Vale Sydney Morning Herald Rugby

At least you don’t have to pick up the courier mail of a morning and search it up and down for even an inch of rugby coverage. A lot of the time they don’t even bother writing an article, they just reprint the ARU press release. The sooner the courier mail go's broke the better, it’s starting...

    Brumbies 2011

After seeing the Uni boys out on mad monday, I'm guessing the Uni team wasnt full strength. But congratulations to the Vikings.

Rugby Union State of Origin - Hypothetical

Hugging strangers in the crowd when the reds beat the bulls would leave me to believe otherwise. But I guess that was an execeptional situation. I think it sort of comes down to atmosphere at the ground as well. State of origin games have a great atmosphere about them. Imagine if they ARU...

Rugby Union State of Origin - Hypothetical

Would players from the ACT count toward NSW. Because that would definatly even things up a quite alot. But then again, others have suggest a combined 'everyone else' team to broaden the concepts appeal outside of QLD and NSW. Which isnt a bad idea, but the combined team probibly would'nt be...

    2011 Super 15 Draw

I'd like the 4 nations to be a home and away comp. That way you negate the effects of travel to an extent.

...Whoops got my lions tours mixed up. Never mind.

Rugby Union State of Origin - Hypothetical

If the ARU marketed this correctly, it could go along way towards funding a provincial comp. Also if the series was played in June, australians playing overseas might be able to compete as they have a break over the summer. But that might be counter productive... To be fair there are many...

    2011 Super 15 Draw

This is great for Australia with our lack of provincial comp. I take my hat off to JON, he really got us a good deal with this. How many tests will we play a year now, 3 in june, 6 4nations and 6 on the spring tour? Roughly 15 tests a year, depending on the spring tour.

Rugby Union State of Origin - Hypothetical

You pretty much captured everything I was trying to say in your blog post. I like the bit about it being an amateur event as well. It is also an opurtunity to get rugby on free to air tv. Shall we start a fan petition on facebook like the old boys chior did?
